Dear all,
Following the progress of the Tom Ford QoS tie project, I am looking to see if Tom Ford can recreate the scarf seen at the end of the film in Kazan. It is a blink and you miss it moment, but you can see it when Bond walks to the camera.
I am in the fortunate position of being in possession of the said scarf, and I am engaging with Luigi at Tom Ford about the possibility of a project to recreate the scarf. I should say that these are speculative conversations, but once the QoS tie project has been completed, then it would be an ideal time to raise the prospect of this project.
In anticipation of conversations, it would be good to provide the folks at Tom Ford how much interest there is in purchasing this scarf. I should say that I have not spoken about prices, and don't know what Tom Ford will ask.
The scarf
The scarf details are one side it is a brown / black Prince of Wales check pattern, with the underside being a black cashmere backing.

What is Tom Ford looking for as far as numbers are concerned as a minimum of orders?
A solid colored Tom Ford scarf is about $595, so being much more intricate and fancy, I would imagine it will be around $695 to $850 range, but that is 100% speculative. Just trying to provide a ballpark number in case anyone is thinking it will be below $500, so you don't experience a drop in names later when the price comes forth.

When Zulfi talks with Luigi he will work out the minimum required (to make a one off production viable)
Eg the Harrington needed 50.
Most of the ties are about 30.
If the fabrics are sourced this may be lower minimum as a lot more fabric goes in a scarf, and price will be relatively high versus a tie.
Tf is very fair with pricing too re these projects. I'd hope circa €600-700

Considering the harrington and the polo project required numbers were around 40 to 50 orders, I imagine this scarf will be in that ballpark, but do let us know when you find out how many are needed as I think the faster a project happens, the more likely it is to succeed. I think when too much time elapses, that's when they seem to fall short of fruition...some that voiced their interest no longer come to the forum, or don't check the thread regularly, etc.

I'm rather shocked the scarf has a fringe. I thought they were rare on silk scarves.
