    And the last line is

    JAMES BOND WILL RETURN

How much more meta can you get?

You know, what happened to Bobby Ewing?

I very well made movie, but obviously controversial. I think there are some script problems, mostly the underused Blofeld, but like it a lot.

    So, that ends today‘s viewing.

Thanks to everyone who joined us - and Asp9mm 😒

Is he the one that opened up a cuttlefish farm?

Mallory's "Back to work..." was another way of promising 'James Bond Will Return' for the movie-goers who were never going to wait around for that final reassurance at the foot of the end titles.

Maybe we should repeat the watchalongs and start all over with Dr No.

Can‘t wait to see the guy that looses it on the dancefloor to be honest

I hate it when people talk over the end credits 😁

No. Craig's movies were a lot about looking back. The new timeline should (and I think will) be much more about the now and the future.

What nonsense are you talking about? The movies being about CraigBonds past?

Thanks for organising the watchalong, Higgins. I found myself rather impatient with a lot of this movie, which surprises me as I thought I liked it better than perhaps I really do. Interesting one!

I think we should watch more movies together outside the Bond series for a while more before returning to Bond movies

  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,428MI6 Agent

Thanks to everyone involved in this watchalong, especially Higgins. I had a very good time. 😊

Now I'm almost out of firewood, so I'm glad it ended when it ended.

So, what do we watch next if not start the Bond movies again?

The non-Bond watchalongs where not such a success as far as I remember.

Reasons for it may be the non-availability of media (DVD/Blu Ray) and lack of common expertise/enthusiasm for an outside of Bond movie.

Bond bounds us together, outsides of it preferences and competences apparently are widespread.

Is it considered treason to suggest a Mission Impossible movie?

MI is Bond's main competitor at the box office when it comes to action spy thrillers and the series emulates Bond in some ways. It's also easy to get it on DVD/blueray. I can get most at the library.

just checking in to see how the worldwide panel of Bond experts is doing, and see @Higgins asked a question.

don't know if it got answered already, but a while back I posted a list of all their lengths, ranked, in another thread, copying and pasting the research of MakeshiftPython, a member of our rival forum

the answer is yes by a very long stretch, itd be a half hour long with commercials

since I now remember the Shakespeare version more clearly than the EON version, I am glad to see it confirmed she really did kickbox in a slit skirt. I bet most of the SPECTRE agents were just standing round dumbfounded waiting to sneak a peak!

The first couple were good but there's only so much I can take of a vertically challenged Scientologist in the star billing.

I liker the first one, but I think the series found it's stride in the later entries.
