It perhaps does not bode well that no one has made a thread on this yet, but this new collaboration between Bond and Lock & Co. was launched today. https://www.jamesbondlifestyle.com/news/007-x-lock-co-limited-edition-collection-celebrates-60-years-james-bond
The first three are Oddjob's hat, Goldfinger's golf cap and Tracy's fedora.
I'm sure hats actually worn by Bond will be the bigger sellers, but they seem to have covered a few bases (you could see the full line on From Tailors With Love's IG stories).

I am rather disappointed in this collection. The Oddjob hat looks nothing like the original. It shouldn’t have a cylindrical crown or a traditionally curled brim. It’s the most iconic hat in the Bond films, and Lock should have made a proper replica.
The Tracy hat looks nothing like the original either. I don’t understand what they’re getting out of making hats loosely inspired by the Bond films rather than replicas.
The Auric hat is a modern interpretation, but at least it resembles the original and maintains the character of the original. I can see many people buying this one.
I say all this as a fan of Lock Hatters. I have the same hat that Roger Moore throws on the rack in Octopussy. That’s a perfect trilby! Of course the Connery Sandown is wonderful too. There are so many other Bond hats they could be putting into this collection.
Also as a fan; I assume it's licensing and the fact that the Sandown and Trilby aren't limited editions and maybe that ruled them out...but I really don't understand why they don't have any Bond hats (they could even have revisited the Spectre beanie colouring) in a first official partnership.
Inspired by collections are especially odd when you actually made originals.
Since the Sandown and Voyager (the Octopussy trilby) are already in the collection, why not do the Captain Nash grey trilby from From Russia with Love that Bond wears for an iconic scene in the film? They don't have anything like that one, and it would be an easy one for them to make. Or maybe one of Lazenby's two trilbies?
Didnt know they made Beanies!!
This!👏
I do rather like the look of the Goldfinger cap.
I struggle to think of many other hats from the films that folk would actually wear day to day apart from Matt's suggestions; certainly I can't imagine anyone ever with the Oddjob one! 😊 Bond's GF golfing hat is probably the nicest and most recognisable as being uniquely Bond's, but that can't be terribly expensive to make (and I'm sure someone probably already makes it!).
Kamal Khan's hunting hat maybe for the more outdoorsy person...
Looks like the next ones were on show at the launch event, although I struggle to identify them. With the 007 branding there's a grey trilby you can glimpse at the end (I guess inspired by Bond's London looks), a white ladies' hat (did Tracy wear one at the wedding? Otherwise it reminds me more of Moneypenny's AVTAK Ascot hat! 😊) a blue Gatsby hat by the looks of it (no idea at all- I can't think of anyone wearing a hat like that in Bond films?), and a blue straw trilby (similar but not very close to Bond's Goldfinger golf hat maybe?)

I've shot a film about the collection which will be airing soon. As Ben Dalrymple, Managing Director of Lock & Co, and Mike Hagon, General Manager, explain, there were 2 prerogatives for the collaboration with EON- firstly, that most of the hats could be used by both men and women (which is why the Vicenzo looks the way it does), and that they would specifically not be replicas or re-editions, but homages. The only hat that will be appearing in the collection that is a direct replica will be the James, the trilby from Dr No. When considering the Oddjob, there were several iterations used in the film, including "stunt" ones. And if you look at the production shots and the film itself, it changes in height and width, and there are prop and costume hats, so they went for the best balance. Film should be ready soon, and you can hear the reasons behind their choices for the collection. And see our little homage to Goldfinger, for a bit of fun, in the PTS.

The Odd Job hat in EON's archive is the hat that gets stuck in the bars at Fort Knox, so I guess you would call it a stunt, it's quite small but heavy due to the steel brim.
That's great, thanks Blair. What is the blue Gatsby homaging? I can't think of anything like that in the films at all.
I totally get the homage idea and I think that's the way to go, although from that brief glimpse the trilby they've done does seem to capture the style of Connery's hat very well. I think the golf hat could have been replicated too to be honest as it still looks good.
The blue one is called The Sixty, and not directly inspired by the film hats, it's just Lock's love letter to Bond to celebrate the Sixtieth birthday, and will be released, along with The James, in October for the actual birthday. It has a unique lining with the Dr No dots inside.

Looking forward to the video Blair. Up in time for my weekend Martini..?
Ah okay, thank you. A bit odd I guess as it doesn't seem very Bondy, but they probably know what sells better than I do! 😊
Bond is probably a tricky prospect for a hat range as, although you can find plenty of examples in the films, none of them are really iconic (aside from Oddjob's, but I will be amazed if anyone wears it!), and Bond himself doesn't really go in for them.
Hopefully up later today, or early tomorrow! So get the vodka and Kina Lillet on ice!

I have a few suggestions that I put to Lock' team, but if you have any more, put them in the comments when the video lands later.

Excellent!!🍸️
Are you keeping your suggestions for the video or can you tell us? 😊 And you're not allowed Roger's clown hat
(that's one of mine!).
Given the limited opportunities to actually wear a hat these days, I'd have sprung for a screen-accurate reproduction or two as collector's items.
You'll have to watch and see, but the Captain Nash trilby suggestion from Matt is one to add to the list!

Here's the latest video, where I chat to Lock & Co’s Managing Director Ben Dalrymple and General Manager, Mike Hagon, about the choices they made for the collection. I also bend the ear of Meg Simmonds, Head of Archives at EON, about their longstanding relationship with Lock. And even sneak a bit of banter in with From Tailors With Love’s Pete Brooker! Hope that you enjoy our homage to Goldfinger in the Pre-titles Sequence!…
Cheers, and have a great weekend,
Blair
