Create alternative titles for the Bond movies

Most Bond movie titles are great, but I think it would've been fun to come up with alternative titles for all of them.
I'll start with a few suggestions:
DAD: Icaros
QoS: Death leaves an echo
DN: Death in paradise (๐)
FRWL; SMERSH
Comments
I'm not sure Detente is a good title for an action movie. It's bit like calling it "Calm" or "Peace" isn't it?
The other two are great!
LTK: Blood Runs Cold
"Icarus" is a very apt choice of title for DAD. The Greek story of Icarus is about a son who doesn't listen to his father's warnings (General Moon tries to warn his son from his plans and is ignored) and flies too close to the sun. The satellite Icarus is explicitly referred to as a second sun. "Sun" is even part of the son's name.
That's a fair amount of subtext for a film that's usually dismissed.
I guess you could also call it 'COLONEL'S SON' ๐
Or maybe FORTUNE FAVOURS THE GRAVES ๐
Would these two work as alterantives to FYEO:
Eye for an eye
Risico
๐๐๐ Love it!
Although now I think of it; his dad was a General. Well that spoils it ๐คฃ
How about Skyfall becoming NEVER GO BACK
For YOLT we could use the title of a later Connery movie:
Rising Sun
Or a version of it:
Blood Red Sun
OP:
Dangerous Game (there is big game hunting in the movie, Bond is a dangerous prey and the cold war is a dangerous game)
I'm sitting at my desk, and just above my computer screen are hanging posters for YOLT and OHMSS. As I looked at them, with their painted artwork and dramatic scenes I suddenly reimagined them is early 1950s disaster movies with titles like
Volcano!
and
Avalanche!
๐ So the next two would be
"Satellite!"
and
"Alligator!"
My alternative title for DAF (with some apologies to Raymond Benson):
The Facets of Death
AVTAK could simply be called: “James!”
๐
Is changing TND back to "Tomorrow never lies" cheating? ๐ค
NTTD : The End
The trailer will of cource be spoiler-free ....
A few with real movie titles…
DN: Mysterious Island
FRWL: The Moving Target
GF: The Bank Job
DAF: Sin City
TMWTGG: Duel
TSWLM: Groundhog Day
MR: Space Cowboys
AVTAK: No Country For Old Men
And I think OHMSS could only be called All The Time In The World.
Alligator would be the Harvard Lampoon version by I*n Fl*m*ng from 1962, correct?
Dr. No: The Forbidden Evil
From Russia With Love: One Missed You Die
Goldfinger: When Gold Touches Death
Thunderball: The Tropical Chaos
You Only Live Twice: The Rising Sun of Blasphemous Power
OHMSS: The Armageddon of Cold Love
Diamonds Are Forever: Trails of Troubled Brilliance
Live And Let Die: The Deception of Darkness
The Man With The Golden Gun: Prisons of Eternal Pleasure
The Spy Who Loved Me: Love Between The Borders of No Peace
For Your Eyes Only: The Price Of Vengeance
Octopussy: The Paradise Of Lies
A View To A Kill: The Ascending Empire Devoid of Glory
The Living Daylights: Heaven Inside The Iron Curtain
License To Kill: The Belles Of Hell
Goldeneye: The Two Faces of Temptation
Tomorrow Never Dies: The Knowledge From A Tyrant
The World Is Not Enough: The Heart's Pain Is A Dragon
Die Another Day: Death of One's Self
SkyFall: Only The Good Ones Suffer
SPECTRE: The Resurrection of Broken Spirit
No Time To Die: The Collateral of Lies
If only! I'd love to see that filmed.
You do know that the title you suggest for LTK was a possible Fleming title choice for OHMSS?

The only Bond film title I really dislike is Spectre. It's bland, and it gave away the reintroduction of Blofeld. It should have been called 'The Dead Are Alive', and they could have done away with the ridiculous title card that says that line.
That's not bad actually! ๐ Yes it's a shame they couldn't have come up with a phrase which uses the word 'spectre' in some way, although I guess it's nice that 'Spectre' refers both to the evil organisation and to Blofeld himself, a dead man from Bond's past come back to haunt him.
I wonder if 'The Dead Are Alive' was even perhaps a potential title and they wanted it in there somehow.
"Eidelon" is a new word for me, but why hasn't Rolls Royce made an Eidelon?
That's a very good point! ๐
There're a limited number of psynonyms to ghost, so it should happen sooner or later.
Some very good titles in there @Shady Tree
James Bond
The Return of James Bond
James Bond Strikes Back
Bond is Back in Action
James Bond in Japan
James Bond: Special Agent
James Bond Forever
.... I get stuck after this.
"James Bond in Japan" is the title of YOLT in Norway ๐
