Was watching NTTD on 4k yesterday and noticed in the Norway scenes that the duster has a half belt on the back. Now, none of the versions from MA I've seen for sale or from their site had this detail. Does anyone know if this was added by production?
I definitely noticed what looked like an imprint of where a belt would have gone in the regular version. Clearly that shot you posted has part belt looking to be sewn in on the back.
There really are some oddly specific details added and removed from pieces in this movie’s wardrobe.
Massimo Alba have really rinsed this one too, price is 30% more than originally, never discount code valid and they keep changing the design and running out of stock…
Are the combat trousers on Farfetched the same that N. Peal has on their website? Farfetched is a bit cheaper, and offers a discount for signing up to their email blast.
I love my NPeal combat trousers. My only criticism is that I have to start heading to the toilet at least 20 minutes before I need to use the toilet due to the buttons!
Has anybody used these trousers out in the wild? If so, could they give an opinion on their durability and wear and tear please?
Rightly or wrongly, I'm assuming a pair of similarly priced Thrudark or Fjallraven are much harder wearing and 'technical' and probably even a pair of Craghoppers for £50, would fair better? I do appreciate however, that the market for these may not necessarily be for those that want to actually use them in anger, out in the field.
Thrudark, Haglofs, i feel the Npeal are not made for what their real purpose should be. A bit like their jumper, being in the Navy dont get me started on that one lol
I find ways to wear them casually occasionally but honestly they are more of a nicely made “Bond item bc Bond wears them” kind of thing. I was hoping they were going to be a tad more practical. Way too many buttons and the lack of stretch is very frustrating. N peal’s quality is top notch but these a crazy expensive for the lack of practicality. They definitely are sturdy though, granted I’ve only worn casually and not hiking or anything. Found myself wearing my Fjallravens more.
Id say fun casual pants and they probably would be sturdy on a hike but definitely would not be my first choice. Too many zips, buttons, inner buttons, etc., and definitely needs more stretch to be comfortable and functional for outdoor activities if thats what you’re going for.
I’ve always tried not to “hype” buy. I had a promo code and it was right around when the movie came out so excitement definitely gave me a slight blind spot to practicality.
Plus all the people on social media doing their reviews, that more than likely got theirs for free, couldn’t stop raving about them and then were never seen worn again, didn’t help either.
Also, I sound like the snow shoveling old man in Home Alone with all the jingling the straps and zips and contraptions make.
I would definitely not suggest wearing the NPeals for hiking or climbing or anything similarly active, definitely go for ThruDark or something else for that. However, the NPeals are great when you are looking for something better than jeans...just don't wear them with the NPeal pully unless it is a dress-up party!
A belated Thank You for the identification of the shirt, @Mattia De Varti
It only took almost three years, but I finally located the Beams Plus shirt. In photos it keeps looking blue or gray, but it is green, almost a seafoam green rather than a mint green.
Here's mine fresh out of the envelope from Japan. Cleaning and ironing to come.
I came across this pic on Instagram just now and am very curious. Was this a publicity shot after filming wrapped? An alternate to the Alba suit that they ended-up not using or is it just a photoshop onto the location?
Either way, I’d love to get more details on the suit. It looks like a linen blend, in ore traditional Bond colours. Better for the heat, and a bit dressier. Wonder what shows he wore with it?

Someone know what triped shirt and shoes Mathilde worn?

Most likely than not, taking out the half-belt was probably just a cost saving omission.
Is it possible it’s a modification by the costume department to allow for a mic pack or harness?
Another update from the Christie's auction. After a while I've been able to ID Safin's boots as the Marsèll 'Fungaccio' MM2651 model, like these ones
Also from the Christie's auction. Were we aware that DC wore a Drake's bow-tie for one of the films?
Yup. Spectre
Apologies if this was already brought up.

Yes they are the same
I got them and they are well made but fair warning, about a thousand buttons and little to no stretch in the fabric. Just an honest observation.

Its the lack of stretch that lets these down. No way I would go for a dry hike in them. Will stick to my Arcteryx for a yomp around the hills

I’ve been looking for similar jumpers, but practical like the Npeal, for a more affordable price. Any recommendations?
Your local Army and Navy Store will have stock and be more authentic.

These N Peal trousers are a perfect example of why I only buy Bond film clothing that I can actually wear in everyday life.
Npeal was a strange choice to reproduce these and they should stick to being a excellent knitwear company. Im sure DCs pair are not as rigid!!!
Thanks for the first hand experience and advice, guys. Probably what I expected the common consensus would be.
The N.Peal trousers are pure cosplay. Wearing them in the wild looks ridiculous.
