Obviously that was my first thought. And even if it isn’t. I think it should be when you deliver it.

My apologies. I’ve been awfully tardy of late when it comes to proclaiming the stoopidity of Higgins and his stoopid egg.

Dumb question of the day: How many eggs were made for the original production? I thought John Glen said one was auctioned off back in 1983, so if EON auctions one this month . . .

that was the stunt egg - quite different from this.

EON got two in their archive - this is one of the two.

Plus it was shattered into pieces by General Orlov, so I have that going for me, which is nice...

    A snip at £260,000 😊

  • Asp9mmAsp9mm Over the Hills and Far Away.Posts: 7,542MI6 Agent

Which ironically is a lot lower than the amount Higgy has ploughed into his replica project over the last 12 years 🤣🤣🤣

I had just seen that Faberge are doing something for the 60th anniversary with EOn - ? replica on the way?

"There will be plenty of time for speculation as well, with the final artwork not due to be revealed until 2023, marking 40 years since the release of Octopussy in 1983. A fitting tribute to a film that featured a plot centred around the heist of a Fabergé egg."

"So, how much might it set you back? Don’t be surprised to see a price tag that reaches well into the seven figures."

So they are only making one of them?!

  • rennervisionrennervision Posts: 107MI6 Agent

Just noticed Faberge doesn't even list prices on anything they sell on their website! (Guess if you have to ask how much, you can't afford it?) Doesn't sound like it will even be screen accurate, so I wouldn't be interested even if I was a billionaire. I'm still anxiously following this thread instead. :)

I’ll stick with my replica for now then.

Big update, the egg is in its final stage and is being gold plated as we speak, just in time for OP 40.

Here is the egg laid out in its components just before it went for plating.
