Dumb question of the day: How many eggs were made for the original production? I thought John Glen said one was auctioned off back in 1983, so if EON auctions one this month . . .
"There will be plenty of time for speculation as well, with the final artwork not due to be revealed until 2023, marking 40 years since the release of Octopussy in 1983. A fitting tribute to a film that featured a plot centred around the heist of a Fabergé egg."
"So, how much might it set you back? Don’t be surprised to see a price tag that reaches well into the seven figures."
Just noticed Faberge doesn't even list prices on anything they sell on their website! (Guess if you have to ask how much, you can't afford it?) Doesn't sound like it will even be screen accurate, so I wouldn't be interested even if I was a billionaire. I'm still anxiously following this thread instead. :)

Obviously that was my first thought. And even if it isn’t. I think it should be when you deliver it.
Do you think thermite would propel it, its bloody heavy for a little thing 😁
With the inner egg in place to get the contrast.
Lovely 😍
Wow, it's looking stunning.
I'll take my scrambled, please....

Thank You Donk. I've been waiting for someone to chime in with this for some time.
My apologies. I’ve been awfully tardy of late when it comes to proclaiming the stoopidity of Higgins and his stoopid egg.
Thanks guys🍻
Not fertilised as usual 😁
Stoopid Higgins 😁
Pain in the arse stoopid egg🤣
But I would have to say that you must have been with some classy birds in your time 😂
Please feel free to chime in at any time WD 😁

that was the stunt egg - quite different from this.
EON got two in their archive - this is one of the two.
The stunt egg was not as detailed. As you can see by the coach no stones.
Kan is correct, there are 2 eggs in the archive and this is one of them.
Plus it was shattered into pieces by General Orlov, so I have that going for me, which is nice...
A snip at £260,000 😊
Which ironically is a lot lower than the amount Higgy has ploughed into his replica project over the last 12 years 🤣🤣🤣
Final price £327,600 for UNICEF.
More 16 in total, I'm in my 7th year on the project 😱
Fooking hell 😱
To be fair, Jim Fanning was right about how much it should fetch 😁
I had just seen that Faberge are doing something for the 60th anniversary with EOn - ? replica on the way?

I’ll stick with my replica for now then.

I hope it’s not just gunbarrel-styled.
Big update, the egg is in its final stage and is being gold plated as we speak, just in time for OP 40.
Here is the egg laid out in its components just before it went for plating.
That looks cracking!!
Well done Pete 👍️
You don’t do things by halves, Pete 🍸
