So in light of the news that N Peal will be releasing a collection to coincide with the 60th anniversary, I was hoping to start a thread to discuss the line.
Does anyone have any ideas what they might include here? What’s left to do?

I don't know what's in the release, but we're all hoping for a Sir Hilary cardigan. There are two cardigans in Casino Royale that they could do. Maybe they'll do a cream Moonraker roll neck or some of the roll necks in For Your Eyes Only, or the V-neck from For Your Eyes Only.
Maybe they'll do some of their most successful pieces from their previous releases in other colourways like Orlebar Brown did with their towelling polo.
I wouldn't be surprised if they re-imagine some non-knitwear outfits as knitwear, like they did with the Goldfinger suit and Lazenby golf jacket.
I'd be interested in seeing a double-breasted metal-buttoned blazer cardigan in this vein. Roger Moore actually wore such a cardigan in The Persuaders. If they do a Moonraker roll neck, they would be a good pairing.
Whatever they do, I'm waiting with bated breath.
I am extremely excited about this, too. Their stuff is expensive, to be sure, and yet somehow I have ended up with at least half a dozen pieces from their previous Bond collection (not including the stuff from SF, SP and NTTD).
In contrast, I have now parted with almost all of my "inspired by James Bond" items from OB, although I love the brand and own many other pieces. Ultimately Orlebar Brown's reimaginings didn't translate into clothes that became regular parts of my wardrobe. They felt too much like novelties. Unlike the N.Peal which I wear regularly.
I imagine we will see some DN pieces reimagined and from the other films they're yet to tap into.
I would certainly like to see the the Bray cardigan. Also the TSWLM black shirt from Cala Volpe, the green suede jacket from FYEO. Both could be nicely done in cashmere.
The YOLT ninja grey rollneck, would be an easy addition. Wouldn't be surprised to see a navy cashmere polo, based on the Sunspel Riviera.
When is the preview? Is it imminent
Looks like they are doing an OB and venturing out into suits lol.
Think my money is safe
The MR jumper is pretty fun, as is the YOLT turtleneck. Doing the Slazenger jumper seems a bit silly, can't you get that from them?
Not what I expected. There isn’t a thing that jumps out immediately as a must have for me. I’m intrigued that they’ve gotten into suiting (and like the topcoat quite a lot) but would need to try one on before I pulled the trigger since this is new territory for them.
I think quite simply everything has been done to death lol. No doubt the “influencers” will go crazy for these but cant say I like the suiting. That Moore one looks horrendous
What surprises me is that they didn’t take a stab at either of the CR cardigans as those are already in their established territory.
I expect to get a chuckle seeing David Z in some of these, but the man is nothing if not a good sport.
They prob dont even know they exist with the ltd screentime lol. Think the balcony / yacht one prob best bet.
Guess OB have done most stuff now and hammered them out in diff colours so I don't expect much from them. Guess they kind of released theirs early with the heritage collection
Surely CJ will have something?
Dread to think what 007 emblazoned monster Omega will unleash :)
Would of loved to see Sunspel do a rerun of the CR Tees and Polo faithful to the originals but guess they wouldnt admit to the changes
Do they steer clear of the Craig stuff because it's been made too recently or something?
I think the MR knitted jacket does look quite nice, and the nehru one is a bit of Bondy fun.
It would be odd if they did since the makers of those two cardigans have never been identified, as far as I know, and certainly haven't gone to great lengths to stake their claims.
Ah okay. And I guess if you're not making direct copies but something inspired by them there should be no problem anyway. A shame because they are pretty nice.
Hmm… nothing too exciting there, especially when compared to the first release.
Looks like they may have discontinued the Lapis Blue SPECTRE mock turtle neck too. Disappointing as I have been after one for ages! :(
It doesn’t look that special/any unique pieces. I am mostly sad because I was saving up to buy the OHMSS blue bomber which is no longer for sale :(
I know one of them, a big fashion house. But I doubt they’d care over a generic design after all these years. They’ve never capitalised on the couple of items featured in CR, or ever rereleased or acknowledged their items being used.
What is the brand?
I'm guessing he's talking about Ted Baker, a fashion house that comes up a few times in Casino Royale.
Ted Baker isn't the one that supplied the second shawl.
Another what seems to be half-arsed effort to cash in on Bond with stuff you‘d mostly find for under 50 quid at H&M, Zara,…
The item I liked most is not for sale by them, but does anybody know, what coat that is the model is wearing. An obvious guess would be Barbour, but which modell?

Check it out, you won’t be disappointed
I corresponded with a nice person at N.Peal about the size chart for the Goldfinger suit. She reiterated that the design is supposed to have a loose, boxy quality reminiscent of the period. I pointed out that the trouser measurements make no sense even in that regard unless they are assuming all of their customers have big bellies and butts. She checked with the designers who were insistent that any capable tailor should be able to alter the trousers of the size 42 suit (which has a waist measurement of 44.2") to account for a standard 6" drop. (I need a 8" drop.) I can't imagine how this is possible without redoing the entire waist and seat, retro style or not.
Hmm something doesnt sound right.
Any of the usual influencers wear the suit over the last few days??
Agreed. I'd love to hear a first hand account of the suit.
Here is the size chart to puzzle over:
The only thing that makes sense to me is that the trouser sizes don't coincide with the jacket sizes, but presume a standard 6" drop. But it would be nice of N.Peal to say so in the product description.
Live images from N. Peal customer focus group...
I saw the @The Bond Experience post a video from the N Peal release wearing the Goldfinger suit. He said he was wearing a size 40 and it looked fine on him. He said maybe the pants just needed to be hemmed. I know he's 40-41" chest and a size 31 waist. So use that as a template.
Can anyone share some insight into the sizing of the Dr No Nehru jacket?
I see N.Peal has a pretty detailed sizing chart specifically for the jacket, but since it is a piece unlike anything else I own and since I have no idea of the fabric thickness, feel and drape, I still find myself in doubt as to which size I should order.
Thanks in advance.
