I thought this car was not approved for public roads, yet here it is on a public road. As I reward for my powers of observation, I think they should give me the DB5.
£6 million apparently, not bad. Bear in mind the prices I put up there are the prices the auctioneer is banging the gavel on, but I guess the final sale prices are higher. The Seamaster sale price was about £180K I think but obviously the final price was higher.
The "clothing guys" typically rate the LTK tux as the lowest of all the Bond tuxes--unusually, Bond wears studs (US v. UK style) but his hair and tux were meant to make him more like Sanchez's team...
Although the TLD ones which sold recently are probably a bit lower in quality I'd guess; I think at least one was made for Dalton's previous film and a number of the others were off the rack rather than the usual bespoke because he was cast so close to production.
I don't normally venture into this part of the forum so I don't know much about the clothing but I was following the sale of the all the bits and pieces and I was surprised at what sold for big bucks and what didn't.
Truthfully, with the exception of two kick ass female characters who stole the show, imo NTTD sucked ass! so I'm bloody dumbfounded at the prices which were achieved (for charity) especially as a number of us thought the £226,800 Omega Seamaster was a wrong-un, in fact I know someone who bid on it but cancelled his bid when 100% screen used provenance from Christies was NOT forthcoming. He also bid on that "stoopid bloody egg!"
I'm not sure to be honest. I thought the tux from LTK may have gone for more but I really have no idea about memorabilia and what it's worth. I know the watches are always popular.
I was just looking at some of the stuff on the online auction and for me, unless it's something iconic like the Faberge egg I would not buy it. I'd need everyone who saw it to know what it is. I wouldn't buy a Michael Korrs bag used by Naomi Harris in NTTD for example. That's very niche.

Great, thank you; that'll be worth a look!
Hmmm, should I buy one from Christies or am I a gullible stoopid bastard? 🤔

Free pre-booking event at Christie’s on Monday evening (26th September)
This was a lot of fun.
That looked like a great event. Shame to have missed it. Who was the guest speaker?
I have one gripe ... this is not from NTTD it's from TLD.

That is one of the NTTD cars, different to the TLD ones.
Went for £500,000 which is the bottom end of the estimate, slightly surprisingly. The DB5 replica went for £2.4 million.
Aqua Terra for £95K, not bad.
That's Ok then 😁
Craig's Seamaster from NTTD went for £226,800
They're going to raise lots of money tonight.

Tim Dalton's tux only went for £25,200 ... I suppose LTK isn't the most popular film and a Bond tux is a bit ten a penny.

Interesting.

Thanks
Christies sale price is 26% so assume they also donate their ends on charity sales
Yeah, I guess there might even be a gift-aid thing going on too as it's a charity auction, I'm not sure.
Surprised Safin's cabin costume went for more than Bond's commando outfit.😕

Couldn't afford the real thing...
So I had to make my own.....

Love it!
That's very naughty about the provenance. I'd have dropped out too.
I was discussing the watch with my husband as he's a watch buff and he said he didn't like it all. He's not into the faux vintage look.
Which lots do you feel undersold?

Wow, Ed - just wow!
I’d love to try my hand at making one of these too, can you give me and anyone else interested a quick rundown as to how you made this?
I’ve been looking out for glass eyes on eBay but can’t find any where the pupil is dilated.
The stand in particular looks like you took more care making it than those who made the real prop.
Thank you! You, and anyone else interested, should contact me at: thefudds@aol.com ---Ed
