Just looking at the N Peal site again. Nice that they've done this launch to coincide with the 60th Anniversary but the images on the website are poor. Thought there would be more stills and close-ups of the products, especially at how much they cost.
Also, for some reason I can still only access it via the link posted here by @Noi. When going to their website ordinarily, all I get is the current NTTD collection and previous pieces. Anyone else find that? Has it not been officially launched yet?
I imagine it's just a restock of the Bond ties and nothing new (They're currently out of stock) like the TWINE Pipeline Tie, which remains a pipe dream.
The overall sense I'm getting is that the "partners" didn't see this as the marketing opportunity Eon hoped it would be. In all likelihood that's because we're between Bonds, and while I think the people who claim the franchise is finished are being childish, the reality is we're years away from another movie. In between we have MI and John Wick movies and an Extraction sequel, etc. The bandwagon is at a standstill thanks to Barbara and Michael's utter lack of urgency.
Thanks for the update QoS. I agree it sounds underwhelming. Cheverian, I think you are totally on point. I'm 53. I love Dr. No and the early Eon era. But Fleming's world of gun-metal cigarette cases and dressing for dinner no longer exists. Hell, it was rare even in the 1950s. Have you ever been to Les Ambassadeurs Club. It looks great but the clientele are 90% from the Gulf states blowing zillions on roulette. There are certainly no ruthless naval commanders or Sylvia Trench types playing the tables. They're all at home in Battersea watching Netflix.
I worked in Jermyn Street 30 years ago (Hilditch & Key) when quality was good, rents sane, and prices were affordable to the white-collar types (military/ civil service/ law/ city/ sloans) who would actually wear the stuff on a regular basis. If Bond had existed, he would have been part of that demographic. But now the dwindling Jermyn/ Burlington brands are too expensive and repositioned for well-heeled creative types who to be honest aren't under that much pressure to conform to precise social codes anyway. Last year, T&A upped the price of a tattersall check shirt to 375 quid. No ghillie is going to pay that. The old Etonians I do know mostly dress from Marks & Spencer with the odd bit of Tyrwhitt thrown in. The rest of their cash is tied up in mortgages and school fees. My heart bleeds.
Menswear has moved on so much in the past ten years. Relaxed standards, more women managers in the office etc. I guess my main question is who's actually going to buy this stuff? It's going to be a tough winter for the Brits and I'm not sure that if I was a young bloke in my 30s, I'd think that now was the right time to invest 500 quid in a Nehru-collar jacket from a film made 60 years ago.
I aspired to owning some dress shirts from T&A once it became more feasible to me but once I found out the price for a regular shirt that wasn't even MTM I thought it was a rip-off. Certainly not within my budget and so I went elsewhere. Whilst I'll poke my nose into Budd and Favourbrook etc, they never seem to have anything I'd want. Did buy a tie from H&K which I thought was decent.

On top of that, as much as I love a serious ruthless Bond, they released two very serious Bond's in the decade Blockbusters have returned to levity
But back to the clothing tie-ins, would there have been a better time to partner with an H&M or M&S for a capsule collection! Truly celebrate 60 years of bond fashion with an accessible range
I tried on the new N Peal Collection on Wednesday. They only had certain sizes in stock, so quite a few of the pieces were at least one size too large for me, but you get the idea!
The polo shirt and jumper were a medium, and I would definitely have sized down to a small.The TMWTGG jacket was 2 or 3 sizes too big, but actually surprised me. I saw it in a stealth viewing the week before, and couldn't place it (I thought N Peal were "evoking" the plaid jacket Lazenby wore in OHMSS), and didn't like it. But trying it on, I can see it being one of the stand out pieces of the collection. A bit like the OB onesie...
Blair, I must say you carry off the 3 piece Goldfinger suit very well. I’ve seen a few people wear this, or at least a version of this suit, and it makes them look a tad chunky, even N Peal’s model come to that.

The announcements of the last few weeks and days have given me something to think about. I know it’s been the big 60th anniversary celebration we have all been waiting for since the launch of NTTD, but to use these festivities to announce even more partnerships and to let dozens of partners launching products or even entire collections using the anniversary logo feels a bit too much. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have anything against partnerships with brands that develop meaningful and beautiful products for the movies, but announcing partnerships in every single industry as well as giving more than just one company the permission to launch homage products of basically the same item at the same time, doesn‘t feel carefully thought through and is in my opinion probably going to hurt the 007 brand in some way long-term.

It won’t hurt the brand at all. They could print the 007 logo on a turd and some people would still be in a frenzy to buy it. They could even kill Bond off and it wouldn’t hurt the brand 🤔. Opinions of certain brands may change for the worse though. My opinion of OB has gone really downhill after all the crud they’re pushing constantly.

The collection hasn’t launched in the States yet. I’m assuming they’re waiting for James Bond Day.

I wouldn't get your hopes up about the T&A collection.
I spoke to someone in the shop and the collection will comprise of two hankerchiefs and two shirts.
One hankerchief will be a poster (presumably Dr No) and another has the red type or Dr No title sequence dots.
Then the shirts are one cream and one blue, the blue being a button turnback cuff.
In other news they are expecting restock of the PB ties, not sure when though.
Those sound like some low effort creations...
