To any members reading, I'm still looking for the tie :)

Should also clarify that I'm looking for one from the most recent reproduction run of SF ties as I'm hoping they are closer to £200 mark (as per QOS run), as the original 2012 run is outside my budget. 🍸️

The last run was a couple of years ago and I just sold a set of all three from the last Skyfall run for £450 and could have sold them for 3 or 4 times over.

I was the person who has supplied almost all the ties for the runs.

    Hi Ross,

Yes I did see that. Can I ask why the expected cost of the tie is much higher? Simply demand/rarity?

I thought the reproduction run might be cheaper due to not being the "originals" sold around the time the film was released, even though they otherwise match. At least that was my logic.

Rich I can't speak for Ross but I would say you're paying for the rarity of these ties as the original run was limited and the second run was of an even lower number. As time passes by the prices are only going to go higher and higher and unfortunately it makes some items completely unaffordable!

I know where you keep your gun!

    Thanks Mike.

Yes it's a shame but not much I can do unless TF can be convinced to do another run in the future, if there is enough demand from other members too.

I just can't bring myself to pay that much for the tie, having recently bought some of the QOS ones. It would be almost 3 times the amount that I paid for one tie in that collection. Expect I'll be shopping at Magnoli for this particular tie.

    Rich.

Obviously we've discussed privately the TF situation.

The ties do pop up occasionally. Luigi had a few spare a year back but they were picked up when members found out. Their rarity obviously pushes up the price but that rise will depend on the member. You may get lucky. I end up keeping the ties I have the suits for. Sure others are the same.

Keep your eyes peeled. The fun is in the search and find !

    Skewered, one sympathises...

    Morning M!

Yes, and i'm not looking to tread on anyone's toes or upset the TF project hierarchy 😊

Okie doke, I'll just have to keep a keen eye out for any that come on sale. With that in mind, is there anything I can set up on AJB such as a notification when certain text appears on the board? e.g. "FS TF Skyfall Istanbul tie"?

    Cheers

I have all three, but am US based. I sent some of my original 2006 QoS ties over to Old Britannia way back then. PM me if you are interested. The slow part was dealing with shipping and customs.
