Late in the year for them to release this. As long as it doesn’t look like the Commander version of the seamaster
Her Majesty’s loyal terrier, defender of the so called faith.
There's a tease video on instagram ( follow #BondWatch ) - to me it looks much like the NTTD watch but perhaps eagle eyes can spot something more. Maybe it's a new colourway of that?
Actually, pausing it, it looks like the bezel is blue.
I remember a board member made the above image and I thought it quite nice, but I suppose this new one will have to be a bit more different.
I saw on Instagram that folks spotted a gunbarrel engraving on the caseback. Others have noted the new one doesn't have the Helium escape valve, which would be an interesting deviation.
£7,100
I think that is quite an elegant design. It combines elements of the NTTD watch —big fan of the no date— with those signature Seamaster Diver waves on the dial. I suppose some will see it as a pastiche of Omega's past designs, but to me it looks like a worthy rival to the Aqua Terra as a GADA watch.
Is it steel? I think it was cooler in the titanium, but it's pretty nice otherwise and I guess it's good to have the choice, and does a pretty decent job of harking back at least through Omega's history with Bond. And it's not covered in 007 logos either, which is very good- it's pretty stylish. Obviously the back is... a lot, but at least you can hide that!
I like they've kept the dome by the looks of it.
Bit disappointing I think they could have done something a bit different but feels like they have attached Brosnan’s watch to Craig’s strap

emtiem - it is stainless steel.
That Jamaica-themed one is some version of white gold and comes in a mango tree wood box. They haven't mentioned the price yet. Not the direction I'd have gone.
not exactly the subtlety you’d expect from a Bond Product

Yes it feels like that, ahem, may be the... rarer one, for any collectors.
I think she is beautiful!! but too bad it's not a limited edition, numbered :(
I really like the look of this watch. That said the attraction to me is getting a watch that was worn in the films.
I wondered why it was so much cheaper that the NTTD 300 given they’re very similar. Is it because the NTTD is titanium?
It seems like a mishmash of different watches: the wave dial from Goldeneye, lollipop second hand from Spectre and the bracelet from No Time To Die, and to me, doesn't end up as nice as any of those three. All of those three are preferable to this one because I associate each of them with their own design, whereas this one doesn't have its own identity. Just my opinion of course.
Well, if the intent was to celebrate 60 years of Bond, doesn’t it make sense to do something like this? You don’t usually celebrate the past by doing something radically new (as Omega has with the other release). Its a commemorative design, as it should be IMO.
When I first saw that second watch with the white gold & gem stones, I thought it was a homage to the N64 Goldeneye Watch.. bloody awful
24 hours on it I have warmed to it. To be honest I wasn't immediately drawn to the NTTD watch but no think it's great. As Cheverian has said this is a nod to previous iterations rather than something radically new, and, lets be honest the more expensive white gold watch is bloody awful which shows that radically new isn't necessarily a good thing. I also like that it's not obviously a Bond watch to the casual eye until you flip it over.

A coupla links for posterity.

Oh the 60 on the bezel was puzzling me: I feel stupid now- it’s to mark the anniversary. That’s quite a nice subtle touch.
Why is DC still being used to promote these new watches? He’s no longer Bond so why is he involved in the marketing?
It is showing on some AD’s websites here in the UK for >£137k:
Because he moves product? Because he's still a brand ambassador? Who would you choose to promote a Bond watch if not the incumbent? Thor?
Brand ambassador as himself yes but how can he be the incumbent when his version of Bond was obliterated? The position is now vacant.
Maybe he was there as Benoit Blanc.
Actually it might have been an idea to involve Brosnan as well as the new watch certainly has a nod to the models he wore during his tenure.
Brosnan would have been an intriguing pivot (if not already under contract elsewhere), but possibly a disastrous one from a marketing perspective. They can talk legacy and history all they want but they aren't likely to trot out a guy who hasn't played the role in 20 years. Not good optics marketing-wise. Might as well get Lazenby or Dalton. It'd tickle us fans, but would give customers pause.
I saw in your other thread that you wanted Craig to vacate the role after CR, so I can imagine seeing him at the Omega event made you fume. But blown the hell up or not, in the public's mind Craig is Bond until someone else is Bond.
It didn’t make me fume , not at all. I enjoyed QoS a lot and the first half of Skyfall. Looking back now I think CR was such a brilliant film and the subsequent ones just didn’t come close to capturing that magic. Spectre and NTTD were particularly disappointing. I always hoped each new film would be great, I really did.
Couldn't agree more. Craig insisted on terminating his Bond, so marketing going forward should align accordingly. "Bond silhouette" imagery or the like until a new actor is named.
