Daniel Craig and Queen Elizabeth Piece

I just watched that piece with the Queen and Craig and thought it was both cute and cleverly done. I noticed he was simultaneously Bond when meeting her, and then Craig when they arrived at the stadium. The idea of them parachuting was especially cute. The Queen must have really enjoyed her involvement, even for just a few minutes. That was proof enough that she was a big Bond fan, especially since the entire franchise was her time (at least 50 years) as queen, from 1962 to 2012 I guess.

It actually has a title funnily enough: it’s called ‘Happy and Glorious’.

it shouldve been on the SkyFall dvd, or whichever movie came out next. its only five minutes

same as Craig's SNL short film from two years ago shouldve been on the NTtD dvd

the books too. Casino Royale came out in 1953, a year after her fathers death even if she hadnt yet been formally coronated.

maybe this is why they have to reinvent Bond? new monarch, new Bond.

I guess it would make sense on the Skyfall disc as it was a proper, fully licensed and approved appearance of James Bond. The SNL thing would have just been a skit, but Happy And Glorious was a proper 007 production, albeit in a sense of fun. I guess the issue is it would probably be owned by 2012 or something, not sure.

Is it the only time that any of the Bonds have appeared outside the films or adverts as 007, in an actual official way? There was the Craig International Women's Day clip, and the Comic Relief skit he did over lockdown which feel like they were given an official nod from Eon but it's hard to be sure.

the Twin Peaks dvd includes excerpts from Kyle MacLachlan's SNL appearance: both his monolog where he takes questions from the audience and immediately spoils the solution to the mystery ("it was Shelley the waitress") and the Twin Peaks parody sketch (Mike Myers plays the Dancing Dwarf, Chris Farley plays Leo, Conan O'Brien plays Deputy Andy). And what a great bonus feature that is! so theres precedent

The Craig bit I'm referring to wasnt just a skit, it was a short film, so a bit more formal and presentable. But maybe EON doesnt want to break the illusion that CraigBond is Mr Grumpy?

    oh look here it is

There's "Happy Anniversary 007" from 1987, starring Sir Rog. He's carefully unnamed, but sure isn't The Saint!
