Additionally though this ad is being sold as “Craig celebrating his new found freedom” -presumably from being Bond, as I’m not aware of his marriage breaking up or anything. It just smacks of ingratitude to his time as Bond, given the wealth, fame and numerous other recognition he’s received from the role.
Japanese proverb say, "Bird never make nest in bare tree".
How did you feel when Brosnan was thought as doing the same thing with The Matador etc.? Even during Bond when he did Tailor of Panama.
I find it odd that no matter how many times he repeats how grateful he was for doing Bond, how special it was to him, he does a dance and people take it as him hating the whole experience. People see what they want to see and ignore what doesn't fit.
How are either of these movies demonstrative of Brosnan showing ingratitude for playing Bond?
Frankly I don’t recall feeling anything to answer your question, I don’t get your point tbh.
Neither are in any way near as **** as the Belvedere ad I know that much.
Incidentally, my own take, but the only time Craig has recently been sincere about playing Bond was his “slit my wrists comments”, which seems to have been borne out by Dave Bautista from recent press.

More to the point, why aren’t we talking about the watch any more. Belvedere is getting more mentions now 🤣
Because they can easily be interpreted that way in much the same way as you have chosen to interpret this ad. Brosnan rejecting the Bond look as much as possible by walking through a hotel in his swimming trunks and cowboy boots; playing an MI6 spy who is a cheat and loser... it's fairly easy to see those as choices made in the light of having played Bond for a while and pushing against it.
They're as much evidence of 'ingratitude' as this ad is (i.e. none at all, but can be twisted that way if one chooses to). Having to decide that he has had to have been lying every single time he talks about Bond... well, there's not much I can say in reply to such overwhelming evidence is there? Anything that doesn't fit with what you've chosen to believe must be a lie.
Guys , Omega celebrated 60 years of Bond here in Jakarta - and i was provildged they asked to display my collection - if you guuys could take a look and give a like woudl appreciate it
here they are
these are the props for first link , 2nd link is just posing hehe
They are terrible c&*% for raising it before it is available for purchase, mind.
I notice the 007 NTTD Milanese is now fully £1300 more than when I bought it and I think I was on a second price jump even when I purchased, so probably £15-1600 more for some early birds.
Was offered one by Omega in September and had turn down as had just ordered one through independent Jeweller. Kicking myself now as have to wait till March.

Absolutely agree with this.

The fixation with how "ungrateful" Craig is will derail every conversation every time 😉

That was my exact thought as well ...
He's part of a Belvedere campaign at the moment as well.
Doesn't matter that he killed the character: He's still viewed as having value relative to high-end brands associated with Bond.

Great stuff, congrats Leonard.
I'm curious where they got those poster artworks for Spectre and Skyfall from too; I've never seen those before.
Anyone else noticed how the forecast price has now jumped in UK from £7100 to £7700?
Any idea why?

Everything's going up, I guess!
Rolex have gone up this year, Omega are following suit.
The price should be around CHF 7200 in Switzerland, so it should be less than GBP7000.
Edit: Actually, the VAT difference between Switzerland and the UK explains why the price is higher in GBP.
inflation is 10%

Annual price increase. Standard practice for more than one industry.
Anyone in the UK managed to pre-order this yet - if so who with and has anyone managed to pre-order online
They seem to be pushing for face to face attendance at a boutique which I struggle to make time for.

Has anyone received this yet? Does anyone have any update on general release date?

I saw that Mr Zaritsky has his
Quite cool that there's a glimpse of the 60s chrono from Spectre which they had on display in their store.
Nice touch on adding a different colour lume for the '60' on the bezel.
I know Lorenzo aka @OMEGA BOND WATCHES also received a 60th.
How hard is it to pickup the 60th Anniversary?
My UK dealer says its Omega boutique only. I just tried it on at a boutique in Chile and loved it but the price was eye watering (12,000 USD).
Off to the USA this week (Miami) where I believe its $7.9K but im guessing this watch is a wait job as slow production.
Also check the duty free shops at the airport. You never know what you will find. Last January I saw the NTTD Seamaster for $7368.
Yeah I will do - cheers!
