So this is a 10 year old thread and in the op I have posted that I was already 5 years into the project.
So what we are all seeing, took 15 years in total and I am happy to see this moment while being alive 🤣🤣
Special thanks go to Danjaq_ off who took over when my relationship with the silversmith was not the best and I was on a good path to blow the entire project up.
So most kudos go to Danjaq_off for his neverending support.

Do you have any particular plans for it? Nothing wrong with just enjoying it for yourself of course, but it looks so good I almost feel you could put it on display at shows or something!
At first I thought that was Kristina on the left in the photo and I was gobsmacked by how good she looks for her age, but then I realized that was that handsome devil Pete! She still looks okay though.
Some years ago I created replica copies of the Octopussy Sotheby's Faberge Auction catalogue, some of you may be lucky to have a copy.
At the time I felt it would be nice to pay homage to Higgins, so I can finally reveal on page iv of the catalogue which is headed 'FABERGÉ WORKMASTERS' I inserted the following extra line:

The Octopussy egg is finally in the Higgins Collection.
Was great to meet Danjaq_off and Acacia Avenue after all that time.
The egg is just mindblowing and stunning, the details like the engravings, the filings on the top crest and the level of detail on the coach are just magnificent.
Higgins is very happy and grateful that this has come to a successful end.
Thanks to all that helped with details, advise and stupidity ( such as Asp9mm). It was an incredible ride!
And no, I did not wear green Trainers yesterday
