As I'm pretty sure I can hear jaws hitting the floor allow me to explain. I think AJBers know that Donk Drives An Aston! and said beast is fitted with parts off the Casino Royale record breaking roll car? well the gear lever assembly illustrated here came out of the Quantum of Solace SFX stunt car. What makes this polished piece of kit unique is as was the case with the Goldfinger DB5 the DBS gear knob also has a "do not press!" button ... parp!
If you watch the sequence where the DBS's cabin is being blitzed by heavy machine gun fire from the Alfa Romeo chase car, DC appears to duck below the windscreen while he still has one with multiple hits striking the front of the inner door pillar and dash board, the only way to safely fire the SFX squib hits was for the actor to fire them himself hence said button! 👍️
The gearbox tunnel panel will shortly after a slight modification be joining the Casino Royale parts on the Aston ❤️

Amazing they didn't just gaffer tape a switch onto the gearknob but went to the trouble of making it to that high a standard!
