How do we feel about Jack O'Connell? Great actor and the right age....BB was keen on hiring both Yann Demange and David Mackenzie in 2017, two directors who have worked with him. I suspect BB has her eye on him.
Okay...These shots of Paul Mescal from Carmen make me see a young Bond in Paul Mescal. I wonder if Barbara Broccoli has seen this film. I definitely want to see it.
Irrespective of how people may feel about casting in terms of race, I honestly do believe the next Bond will be black.
From the perspective of Barbara, she's had to deal with accusations of Bond being outdated and problematic for years by the press, so this is one thing she can do to make a strong case for Bond being a progressive figure, and her decision will undeniably be met with praise in media circles.
Additionally, think back to Craig's initial casting, which was such a bold break from tradition that garnered much controversy at the time. In the producers minds, they need to come out of the gate with something equally bold again for the next era rather than returning to "business as usual" and risk a tepid reception.
The only way there is going to be three movies in six years is if Amazon take on all production duties. BB has no desire to emulate her father’s dedication to the franchise and whilst I believe that MGW does have that desire unfortunately age and BB’s reluctance are against him.
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
I recently watched Netflic's version of Lady Chatterley's Lover and I have to say that Jack O'Connell has serious charisma. I know he is shorter than previous actors playing the role, but he has such swagger. He would make a marvellous James Bond. He has more to him in terms of screen presence than some reactively bland names mentioned.

You might need more than a quick search then…I genuinely can’t remember where I read it…it may have even been a quote from someone else but quoting Nolan 🤷🏻♂️ sorry
It also dictates who else they can hire. Especially the rest of the team can't be tall.

I was watching Get Smart recently. Barbara Feldon mustve been at least two inches taller than Don Adams, you can really tell in the long shots when Max and 99 are standing side by side, but they usually find an excuse for them not to be side by side in those shots. in the closeups Max is suddenly taller than 99: Don Adams stood on a box! (Feldon discusses this in the audio commentaries)
thats OK for Maxwell Smart, he's a parody of a superspy. But James Bond is the alpha superspy, he oughta stand head and shoulders above all the imitations.

These are amazing!
I want to see Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed and Rege-Jean Page
I like how obvious it is that the AI HATES Pattinson as Bond.

He's not tall like DC ... 😂
I think he's terrific. If he were cast I'd certainly be interested.

I’m sorry there is nothing about Paul Mescal that says “Young James Bond” other than his age and the fact that he has a pulse.
The latest name floated by the tabloids is Damson Idris.....
Curiously, even though Id prefer a white male to reflect the Fleming model, I wouldnt object to this casting

Personally I think Barry Keoghan has a great look....He would make a compelling Bond. He's kinda hot in his own way and a fantastic actor.
I tend to agree with this take.
Good acting isn't enough. He screams "Not Bond!" to me.
Good points. I certainly wouldn't be surprised either.
He certainly has the chops. Looks the business and would put bums on seats.
The same Idris Elba that’s already ruled himself out? 🤔

A lot is uncertain these days, but we can be sure of one thing: There will be more Bond movies. Why? Supply and demand. Capitalism.

Even he knows he’s too old now 🤣
And isn’t he far too busy?
Didn’t Nolan say he’d love to direct 3 Bond’s in quick succession? All with Tom Hardy 🤔
If Nolan said that it would be great to get a source. I suspect it's only speculations by the press and fans, but I could be wrong.
He is great. Very good in Rogue Heroes too.
At 5'7". Jack O'Connell is just not tall enough IMO.
Search the net…it will be out there somewhere…
I found Nolan saying he would like Hardy as Bond, but after a quick search I couldn't find him mentioning a trilogy.

Never stopped Tom Cruise being an action hero. It's all to do with camera angles.
It also dictates who else they can hire. Especially the rest of the team can't be tall.
Cruise is also a special case. He was a movie star before he became an action star, and he does all his own stunts.

Let's hope we'll get to the bottom of this some day. 🙂
