Anyone else notice what appeared to be Baracuta jacket with tartan lining in the movie? My wife spotted it and I saw it too but it was hard to be sure.
I first thought that the Rome jacket was the safari jacket everyone was referring to. When I saw it I thought it was maybe BC. I think of the train scene jacket as more a military or utility jacket due to its weight.
Jumping back one movie to Fallout, has anyone ID’d the tie worn with the grey suit and green shirt in the beginning. I like this look. Is the tie black? I’ve also heard purple and brown
Following up from Fallout, Jeff Churchill will be closing his shop, Jitterbug Boy Original Footwear, in September after 18 years of producing custom footwear for the entertainment industry. Jeff created the unique boots Tom Cruise wore in Fallout.
I’m not sure if this question should be split off from this thread (although I feel like this thread is an MI catchall) but how might the fact that this film—while really enjoyable to me!—is underperforming at the box office influence the decisions being made around Bond 26?
I'd say no. The white stripe on the Masked Man tie looks close in size to the burgundy (?) stripes. The BC tie's white stripe is much narrower in comparison to the burgundy stripes.
DEAD RECKONING - PART 2 has been pushed from 2024 until 2025. Not a surprise considering the actor's strike is still going and there's reportedly quite a bit left to accomplish in principal photography.
Also, it sounds like the title may not be 'DEAD RECKONING - PART 2' any longer. Paramount is apparently considering a name change which would, presumably, retroactively make PART 1 into just 'DEAD RECKONING' going forward.
Well, I did contact him a couple of days ago, not knowing about his closing up shop, and he gently answered back informing me of the fact. He added that they would have not taken private orders in any event, so any attempt should have been made as a special project (this latter part just my assumption). Pity.

During the closing ceremony for the Olympics, Tom Cruise was wearing a leather jacket that will make an appearance during M:I 8 (not sure if we can still call it Dead Reckoning Part 2). It looks superficially like the Menlo - large collar, half belt, retro look - but in more mainstream proportions. Any ideas on the brand or designer?

Yes, doesn't Greg Tarzan Davies wear it in the train sequence?
Is this Gabriel's jacket?
Ralph Lauren Purple Label - Merton Suede Field Jacket - Brown
As expected, not cheap! 😁
Yep, was going to post about it later lol
The other safari jacket worn during the Rome scenes is from BC
While the jacket Degas wears in the train scene should be the Baracuta G4 shirt collar jacket in navy
Does Gabriel wear that? I didn't spot that one.
Yep he wears it, but quick scene

Probably it's right

I had always meant to contact him to see about getting a pair made.
He made Indy's boots for the latest film too.
Could this be the Masked Man tie?

Was there any more detail on this jacket? Is it 100% suede?
Cheers.
Think so, waited for an answer from Cucinelli but nothing so far
Did you happen to find any other information regarding Gabriel's wardrobe? Such as the airport outfit and/or train sweater?
Much appreciated.
Unfortunately not. Was waiting for that answer from Cucinelli cause I thought some pieces could be theirs but nothing. I'll try again
Apparently the Hermes Overboard tie has returned....
But with a new Dragon print on it.
And it's only available on the Finnish website.

At least its only a subtle design change lol
This is like when Prada stuck their logo on the NTTD tie.

RRL - it's been in their collection for the past couple of years with subtle changes to the leather.
