I would like to see my fave comic Solstice adapted on screen and extended upon, much like TLD. The Bond in this story seems around ATJ's age or perhaps younger.

@Barbel Thanks mate. I first suggested A Tailor in Paris, which looks better in writing than 'Tailer', but that would mean more focus on the tailor character who, in the comic, is simply there to supply Bond with equipment.

I think Nicolas Hoult is one of the strongest candidates to play Bond. Versatile British actor , 34 years old , 6' 3'' tall and has classical good looks.
I could never forget NH's weird looking eyebrows from About A Boy and Skins. He seems to have had them remodelled judging from that last pic which certainly does justice to the idea of him as Bond.
My impression of Hoult is that he takes on a wide range of characters as an actor, maybe to get better at his craft and keep it interesting. At the same time he does action man things in his free time because he likes it. That's good for a potential Bond actor. He also seems well balanced as a person with no scandals as far as I know.
Richard Maibaum & Michael G. Wilson wrote a treatment in 85/86 about young Lieutenant James Bond. (In that script, Bond meets Strangways and Strangways mentions to him that he's just been offered a Job in Jamaica) I think they should use that treatment as a template for the next movie, because with a "prequel" about an early=mid 20s Lieutenant James Bond, there's no need to elaborate with the general public on why Bond isn't dead anymore. I know some Bond fans say that it's too soon for another origin story but casino royale was 20 years ago, also it wasn't really done well as Craig was old looking for 38. The origin story I envisage would have an actor who qualifies for the young adult bus ticket here in cork playing James Bond.
I don't think the origin story thing has been done and even after NTTD there is no need for it. Linking Bond26 to DN just complicates things in my opinion.
That's been the problem with NH for me for years. but I think in the last few years he has matured and has grown into a tougher look. Have a look at the photos of him posted on October 15th. He's 334 years old now, so I think this will only get better as time goes by.
Yes he has matured but I still think there are strongest candidates. Nowadays, young people look younger than a few decades ago, which doesn't help.
A point I'm particularly attached to is Bond's tough face. Connery, Lazenby, Dalton and Craig all share this characteristic. Despite his sympathetic face, Moore looked mature and the fact Brosnan was in his forties when he started his ride made him credible, which was not the case back in 86.
Whoever they choose, I hope the first thing I'm gonna say is "This man looks tough, he will make it".
I’m not against Hoult at all; he tends to play sort of innocents a lot, but I don’t think that means that’s all he can do. He’s also very experienced in film, which has got to be a massive plus point. A big potential negative is that he may be attached to future Superman movies, which would make him less appealing to the studios in terms of availability.

CR06 is a reboot and it didn't bother anyone. Bond 26 is likely to be another reboot, and it'll be fine.

His face doesn't make me feel he's the tough, hard boiled spy created by Fleming. He looks more the perfect son-in-law than James Bond to me.
