Anyone heard from Canoe recently? I know he was moving to NYC and that was going to take up a lot of his time, but that was months ago IIRC. Also his website hasn't been updated since October last year.
Just hope everything is alright with him and his family. -{

Even Royale Filmwear went dark from time to time - these passion-based pursuits have an ebb and flow to them. Life can get in the way of our hobbies and passions, and BOY did life get in the way this year. Don't lose hope.
I sure hope it comes back, it was an absolutely awesome website and honestly I still check every few days just to see if something might have been updated or added, sad I know, but just being honest.
I got lucky today. Bought a pair of the Rivingston's off Poshmark for $75, but I had a credit on there for something I had sold so they cost me $49. They look to be in perfect shape too. Also, a few months back I got an older version of the TB Catalina Twill for $25. It isn't the same one as in NTTD, but it is nice. I did just purchase the short sleeve Catalina Twill off Poshmark for $20. I live in AZ and it is so hot here now so the short sleeve version will come in handy here.

While we're all down and missing Canoe (who I do hope is safe and sound during these times) I have some good news to hopefully lift some spirits.
I mentioned a few pages back I was talking to a custom shirt site to see if they could do a Bond collar and it produced some impressive results!
The label says it all, this is made by ModernTailor. They seem to have interpreted the actual tab as a two buttonhole design almost like a french cuff. I have literally just opened this at work because I wasn't able to look at the package at home so I'll have to report later if this is practical when worn.
Either way I think they've nailed the roll and shape of the collar, and their cocktail cuffs are great as always (I've had them put on every shirt I've ordered from them and they're always nice) so a slight inaccuracy on the tab that wont ever be seen when worn can be forgiven. Especially since you'd just have to take off the buttons, sew the back tab shut and then sew one of the buttons back on to make it accurate.
They have various shirting fabrics of varying quality but the $19 white fabric they use for first time orders is actually pretty good and makes it so you can order a custom No Time to Die or Skyfall tab collar shirt with real Mother of Pearl buttons for just over $40 shipped, which I think makes it squarely the best budget option at the moment.
If enough people order the shirt hopefully they add it to the site as a standard option but for now I think you can email them with pictures and put in the notes of your order you'd like the "Agent collar" (my nickname for it) with back height of 4.5cm, 8cm collar points, the collar spread at roughly 7.5cm, small amount of tie space and the button tab instead of a snap.
I also suggest selecting soft shirt interfacing, I have no idea how the collar would look with standard or stiff interfacing considering how long the collar points are to roll the way they do. Also it's important to select the "Round cut portofino" cuffs on their site since those are the improved version they made after their initial slightly flat attempt.
Hope this helps and that people post pictures of their shirts -{

Forgot to post these yesterday but I had a quick try on and tie on after I got home from work. Plus a cheeky shot with the budget watch I posted too
Forgive the quarantine scruff, I’ve been enjoying shaving a bit less. In use the tab makes the collar roll and the tie pop just like on screen, I think I could’ve made the tie knot a tad smaller, and the two buttonhole design actually made it easier to take off the tie because you can open the tab with the tie still on quickly.
Very happy with the purchase, will probably order a blue one soon.
The SALEAWAY code is no longer active. I called customer service and told them about the shirt, the code, the shipping, etc. Explained I wanted to make the purchase yesterday, but the site wouldn't go to the payment screen so I missed out on the sale. The person on the call, Israel, took care of it for me. With signing up for the account I was able to get the free shipping as well. If anyone calls in, you may want to ask for Israel or his supervisor Kirsten (keer stin) for assistance. They made the process easy. Just wanted to share with everyone.
This turned out really well! I ordered a more casual navy cotton/linen blend from Pickashirt.com with a hidden button down collar and cocktail cuffs. If anyone would be interested in purchasing a custom shirt from this site, please DM me and I can get you a direct link that will let them know I referred you. The shirt has not arrived yet, but once it does, I will post photos.

I have this very shirt as I'm a big L.L. Bean fan. This is a solid shirt and it hits the mark for the Venice look. Checkout the Double L polos in navy with a pocket as well. Although I am a usual medium I sized down to a small on L.L. Bean polos for a more fitted look.
Bondonabudget and thefrugalbond on Instagram found a GREAT alternative to the Madagascar tropical shirt in Casino Royale. From Kohl's comes the Men's Marc Anthony Linen Short Sleeve Button Down Shirt in "Red Floral" for $17.59!!!
Just bought these R&B jeans as an alternative to the incredibly expensive TF NTTD Jamaica jeans. Similar colour and fit as the SA ones and on the US site they're down to $187, plus with the code RBTOGETHER15 you can get another 15% off, so $159.
Already have a couple of pairs of R&B jeans and they're top-notch quality and a great fit, which you would expect from a great brand like R&B.

Also, if you have bigger/thicker legs, the Fit 3 in Greyson is actually on a huge sale at just over $50! It's Final Sale and not returnable, but they have sizes 29 to 32 left. I've read to size down on Fit 3 in the waist so I ordered a 30 instead of a 31. I picked up a second white henley as well which was on sale for $112. Link below.

I also hope that everything is fine with him. Somehow though, i have the feeling that Iconic Alternatives will not return.

Matera shirt alternative BUT....
It's a no tuck shirt and it is final sale!
But with SALEAWAY promo code it comes out to $7.60 plus tax!
Did anybody find this as an alternative to the Spectre polo? I only just saw it and it's already sold out here in Germany
Perhaps some of you are more lucky.
And yes, I also miss Iconic Alternatives and hope that canoe2 is doing well!

Or the pink camp shirt from Thunderball ?
This long sleeve Sunspel Riviera seems really reasonably priced for the brand.

Their pink TB shirt is sold out, alas.

While the blue shirt now is "Priced as Marked" at around $31, I imagine that by next week there'll be a nice 4th of July sale going.
The buttons and the shirt color seem to be a good match on this one so anyone who wants it should be patient for a few more days!
Thanks for the find, guys!
