007 SPY FILES - Cards

I dont know about elsewhere but here in the UK Bond enthusiasts have been able to collect this magazine along with its collection of cards which constitute a Top Trumps style card game -
So - have you subscribed? What do you think of the mag and the cards? For me the cards are great - but the mag seems to be orientated towards somebody who is much much younger than my 33 years - however it does throw up some interesting tidbits and the Spy Secrets section is a hoot!
Getting back to the cards - are you pleased with the ones that you get every couple of weeks or are you finding that all too often you are receiving duplicates for the ones that you already have?

I got the first four copies (for the free tins mainly I thought they were very nice) and in that time I got quite a few duplicates but I am not really in to collecting cards.

As for the magazine it is good but it is aimed at a young audience so it is all basic stuff, it would be good if it had an older section which maybe had reports fromt he DAD set etc. But you can see why they did it to bring the younger geenration intot he world of Bond so on that basis it is excelelent just not really for me.

This is where I come across as sad ! I have two sets of each mag so far, but I've not taken them out of the wrapper. And as it is aimed at the younger market, I probably won't. So I haven't seen any of the cards yet either !

That's as maybe scaramanga1, but I do miss the "fun" part. This really stems from my childhood when I had most of the Bond cars. I remember having the moon-buggy from DAF, playing with it, crashing and bashing it, losing pieces of it and then, some years later, seeing it for sale for £400 !! Oh how I cried. From that day on - none of my Bond stuff gets opened !

I mentioned these early in the year. I blitzed Issue 1 of Spy Cards and bought others spending over £200 on them and soon got the set and tons of spares. Then developed a technique to feel the thicker packs for the lenticular cards (there are 6) and so have at least 10 of every card in the 275 set, and about 5 of each lenticular card.(double image.) About 2,400+ cards altogether. Needless to say I don't buy them anymore. Beat that!

Sorry-I was getting the 2008 Spy Cards muddled up with the Spy Files of 2002.
I only have 2 complete sets of those and spares.

Jokers i only have two so i need loads more.
