You may remember the FOX News report Trump saw "last night in Sweden". Among other things Swedish authorities wondered who "Nils Bildt, Swedish Defence and National Security Advisor" who appeared in the report was. He certainly hasn't adviced them. He turned out to be a man who moved from Sweden to the US more than twenty years ago where he worked in a security company. He is now running for office in Sweden for the anti-immigration party SwedenDemocrats (SD). I love how FOX doesn't let fact checks get in the way of a good story.
I went to visit my mum today (she is 80) just a quick 3 hour drive up to her house in Norfolk , any way whilst in the kitchen my wife commented on a very large oval plate ,on the wall ,its been there for 20 years plus ,but never noticed it . My wife remarked we had a plate of similar size at home that we put the Christmas turkey on . My mum said she had had it for years ,it was her mums ,and her grans before that ,I jokingly asked is it Minton ,as I know Bond has Minton cheeky sod my mum replied ,I don't know its just old .So we took it off the wall ,dusted its back and gave it a quick wipe ,and low and behold the plate IS Minton 1870 , .Mum said you had better take it home before I die ,so it wont get lost ,Now proud owner of antique Minton oval plate

The service did make me feel old. The priest is new, she's straight from "prest school" and just 26. The kirketjener is the girl next door (next farm?) and still at school.

After some Googling I think lay reader isn't it. Lay readers seem to be non-clerical substitutes for the priest. Klokker isn't a substitute for the priest, but a heller who read some parts of the bibles and some prayers. Still the best suggestion so far, I think.

For over a month now we have seen the sunlight on the other side of the fjord, but for topographical reasons getting none ourselves. But today the sun finally reached this house. Hurray!
I read to my horror about the children's mass grave in the St. Mary's Mother and Baby Home in Ireland. the church-run orphanage was run by the church and near 800 dead children ware secretly buried near a septic tank. The children were ment to be adopted, but the children (from babies to three year-olds died there and their bodies hidden. The Catholic church has a lot a to answer for
