I'm upset to hear about Bob Curry, Bob is ex sas, he was one of the men in black who stormed the Iranian embassy in London, in fact he was one of the first in. Bob had a small business that failed and as a consequence he lost his home and is now homeless. The sas regimental association are currently paying for Bob to live in a b and b, not ideal for a man who gave 17 years service, served in the Falklands and worked as close protection for princess Diana. I believe there is a petition online to try and help Bob, I'll post it up if I find it.
It was either that.....or the priesthood

The other guy's knocked out cold but not cool.

I also have a Y-3 obsession these days but I could never afford the original or ever find my size for the right price which would still be plenty expensive.

It looks like an early FoxBody Mustang, draw your attention to the headlights.
Oddly enough I passed one in Cannes of all places last summer and it was very low. The cop must be quite short.

Stainless steel, in the snow? Yikes.

I got the "Best of ..... James Bond CD" and my Merc of London Harrington jacket in the post from Amazon yesterday. It seems Merc of London assumes everyone who is tall is also (more) overweight (than me), but the jacket looks good.
It felt good wearing a jacket much like the one Bond wore in QoS, Bond music playing in the car while driving in a snowy landscape I think wouldn't look out of place in a Bond movie :007) :D

I think what i say will make me the target to be shot by the AJB members!

I saw the old casino royale a couple of weeks ago. I actually only saw the last 30 minutes, but I must say I enjoyed what I saw not as a James Bond film but as a comedy film. When it is on television again I will be sure to watch it.
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,342MI6 Agent
Not at all. Casino Royal from 1967 isn't an official Bond movie and was ment to be a comedy.

Today I heard on the radio about the French TV-series "Le Bureau". It's a fictional series is about the French secret service. I haven't seen it, but it's supposed to be good.
One of the people who talked about the series was Ola "the Grey" Kaldager. He was an inteligence officer in Lebanon and later commanded the inteligence organisation E14 (1996-2006). E14 was completely unknown to the public and ran operations in Bosnia, Kosovo, Makedonia, Serbia, Sudan, Libanon, Syria, Irak and Afghanistan. Kaldager commented that he was surprised that the French made a series like The Bureau since they have been very quiet about having one of the best inteligence services around, much more descrete than the British.

Ola Kaldager in Venice before an inteligence operation in the Balkans around the year 2000. The photo was taken by Trond Bolle, a highly decorated Navy special forces officer and E14 member who was killed in Afghanistan in 2010.

Brintman has told us he has reached the impressive age of 90. That got me thinking:
Is he the oldest member here?
Who is the youngest member here in AJB007?
  • HigginsHiggins GermanyPosts: 16,619MI6 Agent
From all that he writes, Barbel must be over 90 8-)
