I would guess you're right. I am no monarchist, but I remember being highly disturbed by Diana's death, freaked out even. The paparazzi literally drove that woman to her death, and she might still be alive if she had not married into that family.
If someone like me, who goes out of is way to not pay any attention to the Windsors, was highly disturbed, how do we think the woman's children felt?

and celebrity culture has only grown more intrusive in the decades since.

I am a big Fan of Her Majesty ( even though every year, I'm left off the honours list ) ;)
but regard Harry and Meghan as spoiled brats who want to be Royal, but not to do any
work. Perhaps moving to Canada would be best, so they can work the chat shows and
charge a fortune for after dinner speeches. Just so long as the Tax payer doesn't have to
contribute, like the £2.4 million we forked out for their little " Cottage" .

I think it's problematic that the couple doen't want to be Royals anymore and instead working on their charities. But who whould have cared about their charities of a TV drama actress and an army officer if they weren't Royals?

I'm not entirely onboard with the "spoiled brats" part. Obviously Harry has had a very priveliged life in many ways. But he served in Afghanistan, something he easily could have avoided as a royal. Meghan Markle has been an actress in America much of her life, working longer hours than many of us are used to. I don't think the couple want to distance themselves from the royal family because they don't want to work, but because of the enormous media pressure and difficult relations with the rest of the Family.

So long as the tax payer doesn't have to
Pay anything towards the couple I don't
Really care. Her Majesty is motivated
by her duty, which both she and Prince Philip
Have carried out for decades. They didn't
Even have the courtesy to let her Majesty
Know in advance, their decision. Showing
They think and care about no one but themselves.

I'm just surprised that Meghan didn't want to move to the United States instead of Canada as I know she's very close with her father. ;)

It also seems odd how someone can come from one family with a big
Rift between family members. Only to join another family and yet Another
Big family rift begins ? ....... almost as if it was a characteristic ? :v

My back's demolished, I've been listening to the Beatles without earmuffs, I'm excited about NTTD and I've been absent lol

In other news, my dad gave me his white on white Stratocaster with a maple neck after considering selling it after it had been sitting for so long after he gave up on playing. I'm thinking I'm gonna try again.

Jesus. Kinda forgot my password for this site lmao

I'm sorry to hear about your back. I've struggled with back problems in the past, and it's a really bad experience. Even the most everyday things get difficult and painful. Get better soon! :) :)

Thank you, all. Back in action.

As requested, there she is. It's as good as a doorstop as George Harrison would put it but it's a looker.
Hope it'll be more than that soon.
