Finally got 'round to getting a quarantine haircut. When the barbers open, i'm getting it all shaved off.

Been losing my hair for a few years now.
Have you ever heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"

^I have occasionally had a quarantine beard. I'd get to the point where it itches and shave it all off.

It's important to shave your beard while it still itches. If you keep it it will stop itching and all non-social reasons to shave will be gone.

Something for Daniel Craig('s stuntman) perhaps? From the Geiranger fjord yesterday.

Tom Cruise wouldn't need a stuntman, would he?

For the last couple of days I've been watering the lawn. It's a very exotic exeprience and it feels unnatural, like turning on a heater in Sahara :))

Watering the lawn? Not something that we need to do here in Scotland!

That what I would have say about the Norwegian west coast until a week ago.
The story about Noah and the rain going on for forthy days and forthy nights don' t impress people like us. Forthy days and nigths of rain isn't biblical here, it's gritty realism. :))

You're probably right Number24, I always just assumed those scenes in MI would have been undertaken by a stuntman.

The state-owned Pakistani International Airways (PIA) aren't allowed to land in Europe anymore bacause about 20% of the pilots aren't actually ...... pilots. :))
The "pilots" paid someone else to thake the exams and bribed when needed. I suspect this is a symptom of a society that has some deep-seated problems.

Right now a group of 8-10 whales are swimming past me on the fjord!
  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 37,868Chief of Staff

    Good news my friends!

I have just got my pilots license! I sent £1,000 to the Pakistan Pilot Training School and now am a qualified airline pilot!

I thank the man who sat the test and Number24 for inspiring me to make this career move!

To celebrate I will hire a jet next week and take my AJB friends for a special flight to the USA. The flight will be free so I expect lots of interest. If you want to go, please send me a personal message and I will send you the flight time and boarding details.

I don't know. We saw them at a distance and we just saw their backs and and water coming out of their blowholes (now I really miss TP :v )
    They were small, obviously.

    :))

We think they were long finned pilot whales (Globicephala melas). Whales are hard to count, but the consencus seems to be there were seven of them. I'm glad my niece and nephew got to see the whales, because it was quite a sight.
Some years ago two whales of the same type spent days in this part of the fjord. MY father and I rowed out to them and thankfully the whales were as curious as we were. They dived under us and swam alongside our small boat, if had been a foot closer I could have touched it. It's quite an experience to have outside my living room window!

There may have been a couple of Killer Whales too, we are still debating it.

Tom Cruise called our Minister of Culture because he wants to film more MI in Norway and he needs the ncessary permits.. He wants to shoot scenes for MI7 in the county of Møre & Romsdal where the Atlantic Road is and yours truly lives and for MI8 he wants to film in Bergen.
