Okay episode. Interesting remark from one of the Ood geezer's. "Your song must end soon, Doctor." Or something like that. Bye Bye Tennant?
Ah that throw away comment! Remember they were in year 41 something so I think there is plenty of time! I'd be sorry to see him go -My son can't get enough of The Doctor and he's only three! I hear the actor who is in the current BT adverts might be the next doctor -but I do hope this series isn't David's last.
I'm sure that I read somewhere that David Tennant is signed on to do the 5 specials next year at least. but that might have been put out to throw people off the sent. like when they said that Billie Piper had signed on for series 3.
If Mr Tennant stays on as the doctor I will be happy. as long as the Rose story ends this series because I couldn't stand parts of series 2 where they were roaming round the universe together all love struck and a little arrogant. I also think if Rose stays it cheapens the finale of series 2. if Mr Tennant decides his time as the doctor is up then I Will welcome in the new guy.
I have also heared the Kris Marshall (Guy from My Fsmily and BT adverts) could be the new Doc and I'd be happy with that. but then again I've also heared that Jennifer Saunders could be the next Doc, or James Nesbitt.
I also think it depends on whether Russel T Davis decides to stop being executive producer at the end of this series or not. maybe David will want to leave at the same time, or he may want to continue working under the new exec. *Crosses fingers for Stephen Moffat*

A decent enough episode - a better story than the first in this series (perhaps the best story of the three so far) but not as enjoyable as last weeks episode. Looking forward to the coming 2-parter
It's been long rumoured that Tennant will leave soon(ish) and the word is he regenerates in the Christmas 2009 special.
Well he did say pretty clearly on the radio last week that he'd be in the specials next year, so I don't think we'll be seeing a regeneration for the forseeable.
Although I think he might get taken right up to the brink at the end of this series. That's ages away, though!

Well at least we know 10 is going to survive Season 4, because he's currently shooting scene's for the 2008 Xmas special & then he is doing the Special's and hopefully he will come back for Season 5!
I also hope Rose stay's with the Doctor when they finally meet again in the S4 finale.

Oh man- don't ask. Apparently they've left it off because they don't like it. It won't be on the figures in the shops. Really weird decision, but there we go.
Apparently the Sylvester McCoy figure (which will be coming next) won't have his hat. Bizarre- it's like they're trying to annoy people. Shame because these figures are so lovely.

They don't like it. I did'nt like Colin Bakers costume, but I would'nt leave it off

Exactly- just bizarre, isn't it? It has kicked up a bit of a fuss (imagine what it would be like here if Bond's bow tie got left off! ) and I just don't see how it wouldn't have been easier to simply put it on. As for McCoy's hat...
The 7th and 8th Doctors will be available in the 2nd Wave of figures, as well as a Cyberman from The Tenth Planet. I wonder what changes Character Options will make to that figure?

Doctor Who writer and executive producer Russell T Davies is stepping down from his role, the BBC confirmed.
Davies, who oversaw the relaunch of the sci-fi show on BBC1, is handing over the reins to Bafta award-winning writer Steven Moffatt, who has written for the show. Moffatt, born in 1961, previously applied for the job but was rejected - at the age of seven.
Davies said: "It's been a delight and an honour working with Steven, and I can't wait to see where his extraordinary imagination takes the Doctor. Best of all, I get to be a viewer again, watching on a Saturday night."
Moffatt has just written the screenplay for the Tintin film directed by Steven Spielberg. He was previously known for writing such popular and highly-acclaimed shows as Press Gang, and Coupling, and in 2007 adapted the classic Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde story for the BBC as Jekyll.
The writer, who will pen the fifth series of Doctor Who for broadcast in 2010, joked: "My entire career has been a secret plan to get this job. I applied before but I got knocked back cos the BBC wanted someone else. Also, I was seven. Anyway, I'm glad the BBC has finally seen the light".
BBC Fiction Controller Jane Tranter said: "The past four series have been brilliantly helmed by the spectacularly talented Russell T Davies.
"As lead writer and executive producer, he has overseen the creative direction and detail of the 21st century relaunch of Doctor Who and we are delighted to have his continued presence on the specials over the next 18 months.
"But the challenge and excitement of the fifth series is now being handed to Steven Moffat. The Tardis couldn't be in safer hands... Steven has a wonderful mix of being a committed Doctor Who fan and a true artist, and his plans for the next series are totally thrilling."
Two of Moffat's Doctor Who stories have won the Hugo, one of the science fiction world's major awards.
I don't know about it being the best news ever - Russell T. Davies has done an incredible job in bringing back Dr Who. Although I pretty much agree that Steven Moffat is the best choice out there - his episodes have been the 'stand out' episodes from each season so far, with Blink being the best for my money.

Considering Steven Moffat was behind that absolutely fantastic two-parter, I'm very pleased indeed!!
Blink and those two - Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead - have been three of the very best episodes in any of the series so far.
My best friend's 6 year declined to watch tonight's episode after waking up in the wee hours of last Sunday morning screaming... Now THAT'S the effect Doctor Who should have on kids
(Oh, and Steven Moffat? He's a Paisley buddie, just like David Tennant. Wha's like us? )

I'm in full agreement with you, Moonie. Moffat brings that something else to the table that the others writers just don't seem to manage - and I mean no disrespect to the other writers. Moffat's episodes really are scary and appear aimed at us older kids in the audience, stories that work on multiple levels. Of course credit must also go to the cast and crew for getting his stories/ideas across so well.
Has the series peaked too early ?
On a side note - the episode 'Blink' still scares my 6 yr old, and he's seen it a dozen times at least )
I'll tell you in one word what Moffat brings to the series and the storyline:
Depth
There's just so much depth to the stories he writes, in terms of storyline, character development, advance story development etc. To quote Prof Song, "Spoilers".

Agreed. Moffat is wonderful. That was an outstanding two-parter and easily the best since Moffat's last episode 'Blink.' When Donna's fake children disappeared I felt a shiver down my spine. Great stuff. Much as the series owes a debt to Russell T Davies, I cannot wait till this guy is in charge full time.
Sorry- it's hard to do as the BBC keep getting them removed. It's best to have a google for stuff like

Found it, thanks. Looks more like Malloy than Wisher, bit disapointing, but then again it is a dodgy picture. Neill Gorton is a genius, I'm sure the prosthetics will be excellent.

Where's the celery?
I missed that at first glance. Hopefully Character Options get it right before they figures are released.
