The Purge: Anarchy.
Thought it better than the first film, it felt very claustrophobic set in a house, but I
Guess it kept the budget down for a small film. With the sequel it expands our view
Of this Purge night in America combining several participants stories. Even taking
The sub stories down a few different avenues ( which I'm sure subsequent movies will
Enlarge upon )
It has the feel of some of the great 70s horror films about society going down the
Toilet, and people turning on each other.
Although after watching a few programmes on the American love of guns and the
Big business of " Home Protection " I'm sure this film is born from the fears of many.
Still some good ideas and I think this could turn into a very interesting series of
Films. -{
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
I will be watching the great John Hurt in The Elephant Man tonight ,starring Sir John Geilgud and Sir Anthony Hopkins,
the cast of this film reads as a whos who of British actors ,Hannah Gordon, Michael Elphick, Freddie Jones, to name a few
this is a great piece of British cinema ,if you know the film ? there are two organ grinders in it are they Chas and Dave ?
) oh, I think we'll all get plenty of use out of it for years ;% to come !
( I know I will ! ) )
getting back to the film in question ,the final scene accompanied by Adagio for strings ,did bring the odd tear to my eye
when Hurt (elephant man) decides to sleep as a normal person ,knowing full well he will die, I think he just wanted to be re-united with his dead mother, a very sad ending almost as sad sa the end of toy story 3
Just watched. The World's end, another Pegg/ Frost comedy.
The first part organising a pub crawl is a bit slow but as soon
As the robots turn up, it becomes really funny.
I love the way they ( as in the past ) take American film genres
and transport them to sleepy English towns. )
For Bond fans we also get a DAD reunion with both Rosamund Pike
And Pierce Brosnan making an appearance. -{

Saw Predator on the big screen and was even better than watching it on TV. My local cinema does this series of special screenings of older movies for one or two nights only and it is fantastic. I am going to hopefully see the French Connection this weekend with father.
Also I am hoping that since the cinema takes suggestions on older movies to screen, that in the future I can see a James Bond movie or two. I saw Goldfinger on the big screen in 2012. and since then I have wanted to see more of the older films on a proper cinema screen.

keep an eye out for the famous mini gun scene (when they all shoot into the jungle) you can plainly see the power cables
that drive the electric motor on this ultimate boys toy , this thing dosent rely on the normal blow back system ithas two be driven by a 12v electric motor ,hence why its only on vehicles ect
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

White House Down or Die Hard in the White House )
Enjoyable nonsense - but I just wanted John McClane !
Enjoyable nonsense - but I just wanted John McClane !
Also watched White House Down, enjoyable film, Tatum Channing does resemble a young Bruce Willis.
Also liked Roland Emmerich's clever nod to the Independence Day film.
First was 'Non Stop' a predictable but enjoyable Liam neeson vehicle. All his films are the same since 'Taken'. Which is a shame as he is an excellent actor and been in some diverse and interesting stuff.
The other was 'Rush'. Really enjoyed that and thought the two leads were excellent. Bit of poetic licence with some aspects. Hunt and Lauder were actually closer friends than the film portrays.
Even though I knew the outcome I was still on the edge of my seat.
( I have Chris Helmsworth down as a potential future Bond - he even says 'Hunt, James Hunt' in the film)
watched From Hell last night,about Jack the ripper starring Johnny Depp,its nice to see us freemasons getting the blame
) ) quick run AS Sir Miles is coming TP

Yes it's very good indeed. -{ I watch it mainly for the Freemason symbology
Which is always fun but apparently there are a few murders in it, but I didn't
Notice!. )

They also get the blame in Murder By Decree.
I love that film, mainly because it's got Christopher Plummer and James Mason in it , but I am partial to a bit of Ripper Mythology

Although Yes, it is a great film and one everyone should see. -{
yes ,when I was told about it, I was warned to watch it with a box of Kleenex handy
but I honestly couldn't see anything to w**k over
I stole it of TP )
Well I do not want it back until it has been scrubbed and dried to my satisfaction )
And don't try and slip it in my letterbox when I am not looking

Also James Mason even uses mason in his name, doesn't even
Try to hide it. )
