Mission impossible - Rogue nation. It certainly delivers the goods, great fun - you know what you're getting. Tom still looks great at 50-ish too.

The trailers were for SPECTRE and The Man from UNCLE - while the former looks brilliant on the big screen, the latter just looked like a poor pastiche sadly- it had such great potential too.

I saw the movie Melissa McCarthy made before the critically-acclaimed Spy (which I still haven't seen)--Tammy. In a word: awful. We're supposed to laugh at and cheer the title character, but she's alternately stupid, obnoxious, and pathetic. Avoid.

Enduring Love - featuring Daniel Craig :x

I've seen this movie several times, but just bought it, to add to my DC collection :D

Totally missed that Ben Whishaw is in it (plays Spud, one of DC's students) - so that's Layer Cake AND Enduring Love where the two meet before Bond!

Also, we see Craig CLEARLY drive a Saab stick shift... so where the rumor came from that he can't drive (or couldn't drive) one is really weird... also, we see him being referred to as a 'super hero' in the script... that along side with his very 007 moment in Layer Cake is all very prophetic. It's as if, it was just meant to be :007)

Also, 2 actors from one of my favourite production of Persuasion (Jane Austen) also appear... although one of them is in the deleted scene section, and doesn't make the actual film.

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Not as good as the cartoon series but still a good solid superhero

My Gun Is Quick vintage film noir.

I've never read the novel, but the film is a definite rip-off of The Maltese Falcon though with some original touches.

This is part of a series whose opening titles may ring some bells with Bond fans:

    Victor Saville presents
Mickey Spillane's MY GUN IS QUICK
starring Robert Bray as Mike Hammer

    preceded by
    Victor Saville presents
    Mickey Spillane's I, THE JURY
starring Biff Elliot as Mike Hammer

    etc

    Future world :
A lack luster follow on from West World (a classic) more a mystery thriller
Than a suspense movie. The special effects aren't great ( even for 1976)
Although apparently it was the first time CGI animation was used in a movie.
Yul Brynner's last film, in which he's wasted in a silly dream sequence but
    I have a soft spot for these old 70s Sci-Fi movies, so I still!enjoyed it. :D
    Next up Iron Sky. ;)

    Iron Sky,
A silly romp about Nazi's on the Moon, not fantastic but fun, with a couple
Of very well observed comedy scenes. With a few little nods to some other
Movies such as Downfall and Dr Strangelove. Stars TNDs Götz Otto.

The Man from Uncle was good. I'm a big fan of Cavill and I thought he did well as well as Armor Hammer and the rest of the cast. I could see Cavill as Bond but I'm probably the only one. This movie is your average spy flick and I like that it's set in the 60s and it's not over the top!
    8/10 (that's probably too high :)) )

I just saw The Man from U.N.C.L.E. tonight and really enjoyed it. Typical Guy Ritchie film. Very stylized with great music. 7.5/10.

"Maggie" starring Arnold Swartzenegger, Abigail Breslin and Joely Richardson.

This movie is radically different from any other Schwartzenegger move you have ever seen. There has been an outbreak of a zombie-like epidemic, so yo think you know what you're getting into. But this movie reminds you more of Terrence Malik than Michal Bay. Ther is hardly any action. Instead you get personal drama and lingering mood scenes. The movie it shares the most DNA with is "Let the right one in" and "The Road". Arnold Scwartzenegger has never played a more human character, his portrayal is actually very good and he even looks his age. As long as you expect a human drama instead of Scwartzenegger action, this is actually a good movie.

Prometheus , 2012 , by Ridley Scott ,its the prequel to his master piece ALIEN made in 1979 ,but cant help thinking that ,the technology used in Prometheus ,is superior to the Tech in Alien ,yet Prometheus is obviously set ,before the Alien Time frame ??

Yes, I had the same problem with Star Trek: Enterprise. It was
supposedly set 100 odd years before the original series but its
Tech was way ahead of what Kirk and the boys had. :))

Prometheus - Error, does not compute! Please reload universe and reboot! Ie, I see it in a separate light from the other alien films.

Star Trek 2009. Alternative timeline, completely separate from the Kirk, Picard, Sisko and Janeway we all know and love. (Thank God.) both Abrahms tried my patience as a devoted Trekkie. I am not bothering with the third one.
By contrast, some episodes of Enterprise were written well, but the main show runners were lazy and arrogant. Poor Manny Cotto and the Rees-Stephens didn't get the credit they certainly deserved for making Enterprise almost good.

On a brighter note guys, I am a bit of a sucker for Pixar films, and their latest effort Inside Out is an absolute gem. Funny, heartwarming and tearjerkingly sad in places too, this is a film where the story is the centre piece. Beautiful visuals, excellent voice work from all the cast, this is right up there with Cars 1 and Toy Story 3.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Watched A Haunted House 2 ( missed the first one), not a great film, pretty bad to
be honest but it does have a few really funny scenes and jokes, but not enough to
carry a film for 90 minutes. Best avoided. :# It makes Scary Movie 5 look like
    oscar winning material. :))

    Fast and furious 7,
Great action movie, with plenty of " Bang for your buck" as with Bond
All the budget is on screen. -{ , some stunning car chases and fight
    Sequences.
The Rock, is very funny as his character is totally indestructible :))
