I quite liked that film, but as you say pretty violent. Good turn from Olga
The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes :
Haven't seen it in years, it's a great film, with Holmes heading up
to Scotland to investigate the Lough Ness monster, sinister monks
And all sorts of mysterious stuff.

Came to a stopping point in the chapter I was working on today; my hero confronted by six or seven
18 year-old boys who mistakenly believe him a villain. Will need planning and some mental choreography.
So I needed to step away & clear my brain...and Sir Roger was just the ticket. Smiled through the whole film - it's been a while -{

Never seen it - apart from the opening titles - but I found the book recently in a secondhand bookshop. -{
"The tough man of the world. The Secret Agent. The man who was only a silhouette." - Ian Fleming, Moonraker (1955).
A fantastic movie with beautiful cinematography, moving music, a sarcastic Sherlock at his best,
a Microft at his most machiavellian and a heartbreaking end. And each time I watch the whole Madame Petrova sequence it cracks me up. All in all one of Billy Wilder's finest.
I re-watched the movie "Pioner", mainly because Stephanie Sigman is in it! We all know by now that Stephanie Sigman is the Bond girl in SPECTRE's PTS, but when I saw the "Pioner" at the minema I had no idea, The movie is Norwegian and is is about deep sea divers working in the North Sea during the early days of the oil industry in the early 1980's. It's a good movie with ompressive and tense underwater scenes.
But Back to Stephanie Sigman - She is FINE! I have no doubt she'll be great in SPECTRE. She looks spectacular and is a good actress. I find it impressive that she actually did the movie in Norwegian, a language she doesn't know!
Stephanie Sigman (far left) With the cast of "Pioner" in typical Norwegian weather ) Next to her stand Axel Hennie (Hercules, Headhunter, The Martian) who plays the lead.
I'm seeking some advice from fellow AJBers - I'm in two minds about seeing Jurassic World.
On one hand, I've seen the previous three films, and from what I've seen of the trailers, it looks a lot like a rerun of the first film. I wouldn't want to spend time watching it if all they've done is rehash what they already did, much less three times.
On the other hand, I enjoy seeing dinosaurs on the screen, and I do enjoy popcorn entertainment, which is clearly this type of film.
So, PLEASE, NO SPOILERS.
Did you enjoy it, and would you recommend it to me if I was looking for a couple of hours to pass the time?

^ I saw it in 3D when it first came out...it's not a massive departure from what's gone before but it's very enjoyable....go see it -{
Die Another Day, I enjoyed it, but it was a bit over the top sometimes

Patrick's Day
Disturbing, enlightening and strangely charming story of a young man suffering from schizophrenia who is determined to experience in spite of his condition.
It features a great performance from Moe Dunford.

I saw Black Mass starring Jonny Depp and a truckload of character actors. The story is based on a real life Irish gangster who pretty much ruled the streets of Boston in the late 70's, 80's and early 90's. James "Whitey" Bulger had great help from his brother the mayor and his childhood friend in the FBI. Jack Nickelson's character in "The Departed" was loosely inspired by him too.
If you like movies such as Goodfellas this is for you. Great performances and good story!
Still just as magical and entertaining as when I first saw it in the cinemas; still my favourite Star Wars movie.
I think the criticism this movie receives from many is really uncalled for. These people should just lighten up - its popcorn entertainment, after all.
8.5/10

Sicario: quite possibly the best movie about the drug war I've ever seen--dark, complex, sometimes scary, and (what's rare in this era of mindless movies) very intelligent. It's also set around cities and places I've known well, so it's all too real to me!
Finished watching Schindler's list. Hadn't seen it before. I went through an absolute roller coaster of emotions. Truely superb film and Oskar Schindler is a true hero.
Currently watching Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

I had to study Schindler's list in English. As far as scenes go, I found it just watchable, any more and I would have had to switch it off because of how graphic the film was.
I found the acting performances and themes top notch.
John William's score for it was utterly superb as well.
Would highly recommend it and I'm pleased you enjoyed it.

I agree - there just too much CGI, it looks more like an animated movie with some actors out in via green screen.
