Too much CGI for me (I think the CGI is pretty dated too)

I agree - there just too much CGI, it looks more like an animated movie with some actors out in via green screen.

The point of CGI is to make absurdly fake things look completely real. If you can tell just by watching that it's CGI then it has failed in that sense. One of the many reasons why I hated Avatar.

Finished watching Schindler's list. Hadn't seen it before. I went through an absolute roller coaster of emotions. Truely superb film and Oskar Schindler is a true hero.

Currently watching Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
I had to study Schindler's list in English. As far as scenes go, I found it just watchable, any more and I would have had to switch it off because of how graphic the film was.
I found the acting performances and themes top notch.
John William's score for it was utterly superb as well.
Would highly recommend it and I'm pleased you enjoyed it.

I had tears rolling down my face a few times. At the end when he's outside the factory explaining how he could of saved more was acting at its finest. Definitely had something in my eye then :( .

Now I'm currently watching The Good Shepherd.

The Wild Geese. Maybe I should have mentioned this film in the man cave topic. I love this film. Dug out my old VHS player last night and my old cassette of The Wild Geese. Great cast including of course Sir Roger who is brilliant in it.

Yes The Wild Geese is a terrific movie, I love how Roger deals with the drug dealer
at the start of the film. I had the poster of him in the sentry hut, gun in hand and a
cigar between his teeth for years :D

Spectre, was the third time yesterday. The first two times I've been with friend. Yesterday with my parents and both brother, they really seemed to like it. Only my oldest brother thought it was a bit odd that Blofeld didn't do anything about his eye in the time he went to London for the climax. Though, he did thought it looked very cool. And my mom didn't really like the torture scene. But glad they all liked it.

I love The Wild Geese too. The cast is top notch, and I really enjoy the action sequences. I also love that it was shot in my home country and stars the great South African actors Winston Ntshona and John Kani.

    Ex-Machina :
Sci-Fi thriller, quite good but not as good as I was expecting. Although
The house of the internet billionaire is amazing, apparently it's a hotel
in Norway ( with some sets used as well) very Bond villain. :D

I thought "Jurassic World" was basically a greatest hits movie. With
Cut out characters, we all knew how they'd develop, and what would
happen. Having said that I did enjoy it as a popcorn movie, just a bit
    long.

    Great film.
I thought Roger Moore was more Bond-like in The Wild Geese than any of his actual Bond films.
And of course I love Richard Harris' performance.

Mad Max fury road ,well that was a waste of a 20 year wait , it bore no resemblance to the original Mel Gibson trilogy, didn't the producers watch the original films? .Maxs interceptor got totally and utterly destroyed in Mad Max 2 ,and there it is in the new film ,I dunno why they bother ,
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

The Mummy (Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz)

First watch since 1999. Pretty lame now but a bit of fun.

George Miller was behind all four of them, he clearly knows what he's doing with his franchise. The interceptor is there because the Mad Max films don't have a continuity; they're supposed to be legends and myths told in a post apocalyptic world.

Yeah and does that include making Charlize Theron the lead role and Max being a mute side character that barely says a word? Terrible movie. Mr Miller has been rumoured to be directing Man Of Steel 2. Which I hope doesn't happen as Superman will suffer the same fate as Max and be a side character to Supergirl.

Last movie I watched was Taken 3. I thought a second viewing after not seeing it for a few month would change my opinion. It didn't.

Well I'll go and see it.

Then after that the next time I go to the cinema will be Bond 25 unless they have made Bourne 6 in the mean time.

    It's confusing I know.....lol!!!

Basically I only go to the cinema to watch Bond, Bourne, and Mission Impossible. The rest I wait for DVD or Sky movies!!

    :)) :)) well said.

I was too disappointed with Fury Road. I just can't understand why Miller decided to portray Max this way!? Tom Hardy looked so miscast for the role.

In Fury Road, whilst the story wasn't about Max, he got involved with other people's business and needed up in it. Exactly the same as what happened in the 2nd and 3rd movie. Max is someone who wanders the wasteland, he gets involved in other people's stories. And, what you said about him being mute and barely saying a word, I'd like to point out Max has only 16 lines in Road Warrior.

Yeah and how's that for character development? So my point is, why call it a Mad Max movie at all?

Last movie watched Star Trek Nemesis.
