It would have been still better if I'd managed to keep the other toys from the 60s which have disappeared over the years, such as Kissy's and Tracy's cars, TB figures, etc. Oh well, c'est la vie. There's also the books & mags, again collected over 40 years, to be considered- hmm, maybe I should take your advice about watching my step...8-)

I'm only 18, but it's good to see there are two of us old souls on here! Some people might find me strange, but I love '80s stuff. Back to the Future is one of my favorite films, my CD player's an old Discman and I have a Colecovision in my closet (that's an ancient video game for those who don't know--it's very hard to play, mind you...). Not to mention when I go for a drive, one may hear Van Halen or Genesis coming from my pristine '85 Nissan... (Phil Collins is awesome, by the way).
Oh, and I discovered Bond when I saw The World Is Not Enough when I was 12. The Brozz-man will always be Bond to me. b-)

Wow, I remember my Colecovision. I might still have it. When my Grandparents bought it for my brother and I they were told that the system was going out of production. They still bought it anyway. I think that was in 1984 or 85. We had maybe five or six games for it. The only game I remember is Keystone Cops. Yes people, I'm old. Older than some people on this board, but I'm sure not as old as some.

You're right in how it went out of production. It was one of the last systems to cash in before the video game crash of 1983. Companies had the misconception that games were out and personal computers (PCs circa '83 = JUNK ) were in. This--coupled with many, many new startups and other commercial failures that were similar to the Dot-com Boom of the early 2000s--created a crash in the market. Which is why today, there are few more video game systems than those of Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo.
The Colecovision was one of the last systems to cash in before the market crash, due to its capability to play Atari games. However, Coleco the company still went bankrupt shortly after, thinking it could cash in on the false concept of a PC boom. The Colecovision is quite a relic now, and when mentioned to high-schoolers today, no one will know what you're talking about.
No, I'm not nearly old enough to have been there, I'm just a bit of a history buff. :P

I'm 25 years young (when you get to my age, you say young instead of old) and I've been a Bond fan for 10-12 years or so. All thanks to whatever network used to play the marathons before Spike TV, was it TNT?
I'm 37. I've enjoyed watching Bond films ever since I saw MR when I was 9. (I wasn't allowed to watch Bond films prior to that.) However it wasn't until my mid 20's when I started watching Bond films more frequently due to my dating a huge Bond fan, that I began to love Bond.

First Bond was TSWLM, saw it on TV when ABC had their Bond weeks. Shortly after I saw FYEO in the theater...think I was 11 and was hooked ever since.
