AJB all to myself.....

LilacLilac SW Illinois, USAPosts: 9MI6 Agent
No-one's online
on AJB.
No-one's here
but little old me.
This could be fun!
What shall I do?
Let's rearrange
a forum or two.

"Music" becomes
"Tiddly-pom"
while "Casino Royale"
gets thrown out
on its bum.
(Not like there's been
any news anyway.
Pierce-B will just find
somewhere else to play.)

And "Off-topic Chat"
goes up to the top
Becoming "Hot News"
That'll make their jaws drop.

Dunno if I'll
still be able to post
once SiCo comes back
and I start to roast.
So I'll say toodle-oo
and sneak into the night
Hope I made someone's day
Just a little more bright.

If I must be banned
be kind unto me
and make it for mischief
not bad poetry.

Glad your having fun. But I have a feeling this topic will be closed.

So, Lilac, are you basically saying that AJB is no longer thriving with good discussion, and you're leaving? Or does "Once SiCo comes back and I start to roast" mean that you've done something worthy of a ban that is most likely imminent?

If none of these apply to your poem . . . Could you please explain to us what it means? :)

    ***UPDATE***: See Page 5, please!

I'm assuming it's being said tongue-in-cheek TSF, and saying that her poetry isn't that bad that she should be banned.

Yeah, and sadly there's much truth to it... I spend too much time here alone... :(

My goodness, such a tempest in a teapot. I get a little giggly 'cause I'm the only one logged into the forum, and immediately suspicions of evildoing, conspiracies, and immanent disaster start popping out all over the place. ;)

Are we bored or what? Like junkies needing a JB fix. C'mon, EON, a little real news, please, before we begin tearing each other to bits!

(My poetry wasn't THAT bad, was it? On second thought, don't answer that. The {[] should speak for itself.....)

Could somebody please explain (the author, perhaps?) what is a tiddly-pom?

Well I know it from the Winnie The Pooh poem, 'Song for Snowy Weather'

    The more it
    Snows-tiddley-pom
    The more it
    Goes-tiddley-pom
    The more it
    Goes-tiddley-pom
    on
    Snowing.

    And Nobody
    Knows-tiddley-pom,
    How cold my
    Toes-tiddley-pom
    Are Growing.

Dont say we're not cultured here at AJB ;)

I never said that... I learn more here than in school.

So I guess tidley-pom is some kind of meaningless rhyming word like our ingyom-bingyom-tálibe-tutálibe-málibe.

I meant that in a jokey way to, but I forgot my smiley: ;) or :)) . I should really learn to use them. Some day I'll be kicked out because I don't use a smiley where I should...

    I'm by myself!
    I'll make a song:

    My name is Joe,
    I'm a little tiny crow,
    I'm related to a hawk,
    but I just don't squawk.

There is a whole song but I don't want to right it all... it's long, and I made it... Cool>>>

I've been on AJB alone numerous times, and I usually just leave myself, and don't write poetry or anything! ;)

Nicely done though, Lilac, an entertaining read.

That was very funny actually, well done, I admire someone who can write poertry which can't have double meanings read into it.

"And the rain, rain, rain, came down, down down in rushing rising torrents ..."

Don't be ashamed to read Pooh ... classic children's literature.

And I wouldn't worry about being alone on the site ... I am most mornings at some point or another.

My cousin took a course on Pooh and Zen philosophy while she was at university; apparently there's some kind of trend in analyzing classic children's literature in college classrooms. It strikes me as being a rather silly fad; maybe that might work for Alice in Wonderland, the Little Prince, and the Chronicles of Narnia series but I can hardly imagine writing a paper searching for the hidden meanings in Goodnight, Moon :S.
Flattery will get you nowhere, but don't stop trying.
