Here's an article stating that Sienna Miller IS NOT interested in starring opposite Craig in Casino Royale...

I am assuming she wants to avoid Bond because of the rumors involving her and Craig. But, the quote makes it sound she is above doing a Bond movie. Note to Sienna, you are not that big.

So after discussing who's going to be a Bond girl, we'll talk who is NOT going to be a Bond girl. :p Personally I'm glad Sienna is included in the latter category.

Agreed!! She had all of about 5 minutes screen time in Layer Cake and a small role in Alfie, which no one saw and now she is a big star.

Why do we care? It's not as if she's a great talent or a spectacular beauty. She's ordinary at best and easily forgetable--there are plenty of thin attractive blondes in the acting profession. She's only one of them and currently famous for being sort of famous, but surely her 15 minutes of fame are over.

She can't dine out on having once been a famous actor's "betrayed" girlfriend for the remainder of her career(such as it is).I liked her in Keen Eddie but that's about it.

Next we'll hear that Kate Moss turned down a chance to play a Bond girl,too...

Sienna must be having an overrated opinion of herself as she is still hungover from happiness after reconciling with Jude.... :)) :))
I agree Wille, I liked her in Keen Eddie and that's about it. (Man she was HATEFUL in that series! lol) :D
"Sienna darling.. we're just OK without you.. NOT worried about you NOT being in the movie, stay assured!"
so.. has the Kate Moss one reached the tabloids yet or nothing? outrageous, no immediate reaction from Kate not wanting to be associated with a movie which isn't positive image, since people kill and torture and sleep around... and well, DO NOT smoke, because that's bad image for kids? :))
"Are we on coms?" (if you don't know where this is from... you've missed some really good stuff! :D)

So what about you, Alessandra? My sources told me you also expressed not wanting to be a Bond girl, whih frankly concerns me more than Sienna's decline. Please don't tell me you're rejection for the role is final.

As for Sienna ... BOTHERED, NOT !!!!

I know you'd be perfect Lady Rose, but I heard that you have schedueling conflicts, am I right? By the way, I too decline the role of Vesper Lynd. I just don't feel she's Bond's equal enough for me and thus is a lame attempt to propel my fantastic career...

Yes, it is a shame about my scheduling conflicts. Unfortunately it coincides with my filming of Police Academy 22. I could have brought so much to the role, as Vesper is like no other Bond girl before. She is not just a pretty face , she has another dimension to her and unlike the book ( whats one of those btw ) she is lot tougher and saves Bond on more than one occasion ......

    Shame, Lady Rose.

Mais, cest "La Vie En Lady Rose" - sorry your schedule is full. :)

This "other dimension" to her, though - is there a chance Sienna read the book and realized she's not that much of an actor?

I think the lenth of the comic strip might have scared her off. Though I still don't get how "actor's wife declines role she was never asked for" makes headlines. Guess there's no news, like no-news.

No, Milady, the fact Sienna has ruled herself out means that JESSICA SIMPSON is still in the running! :o :o :o

But, anyway, as WG says, this just isn't news. It reminds me of the time someone posted an article wherein Guillermo del Toro--director of Hellboy--said he wouldn't be interested in directing a Bond film. All the time I was reading it, I thought, "Well, who asked him?"

I'm not even going to give that any credence as it is just too ridiculous. ( though Eon have been a little unpredictable of late )

I can offically confirm (thanks to a tabloid newspaper) I have been asked to play the next Bond girl in Casino Royal, cos I'm a relatively good looking young actress (with a film out this week, may I add) I have legs up to here, and I've been in loads of good films. (one out this week, may I add) I can't wait to play Jinx, taking over the role from Halle Berry is just a fantastic offer, I've always admired the Bond girls - I once had a poster of Gloria Honeyford in my kitchen. The new Bond girl is tough, and I can show Bond a few things about fighting and stuff. The character in the book ('Goldfinger' by Roald Dahl) was such a compelling and independent woman (Destinys Child are singing the theme you know!?) I can't wait to work alongside Pierce, cos I loved 'Iced Bun'.
Now, just give me a week or so, to think over the Bond girl part I've been offered, and then I'll offically announce I turned it down, cos I'm just too pretty to fight in high heels and the character wasn't butch and equal enough with Bond.

You know I always hoped a Simpson would be associated with the Bond franchize sooner or later. But I wanted Homer, not Jessica! :p

But how are the legs?Gals can't flash their boobs in a Bond movie but they can almost always show their legs.My inquiring mind wants to know...;)

I'm glad she has "snubbed" the role.

I've seen a couple of her films and she in no way emits any kind of charisma or magnetism.

The role of Vesper is a key one, and the juciest Bond girl role to date. She needs to be an enigma; just a shame Jolie can't do it.

Well at this time we don't know for sure she can't do it, all we have heard are rumors. If the rumor is true that she wanted the character tougher, than she she shouldn't do it because she doesn't understand the character. I also think she would overpower Craig on screen. As for Sienna Miller, no one asked her to play Vesper and no one cares that she won't.

Hopefully audiences will be sympathetic towards Vesper and feel saddened when she dies(if she really dies in the film-I have my doubts).
    Converesly,they shouldn't find themselves going,"Well about time-I couldn't stand her.I'm glad she's gone!"

That's why CR needs a really good actress as opposed to an attractive but merely okay one like Sienna Miller, who's currently better known for being a party girl than anything else.

If Sienna's good enough to validate Craig's prowess and attractiveness, then by golly, she's good enough to pull off portraying Vesper, the most complex literary heroine since Anna Karenina.

I read today, albeit in a pretty pathetic tabloid that Sienna is being lined up for Bond 22 and has reportedly said she would do it.

What is with all the Sienna hating? IMO she's one of the most gorgeous woman in films right now.

I confess she's rather grown on me in the last year or so---lovely smile, and she looks very fresh and likable in the ubiquitous paparazzi snaps I seem to see every single day of my life...I'm sure this latest 'Bond girl' claptrap is just that: a way to foster a bit of career 'buzz'...

...But I thought all the Craig talk---before the fact---was claptrap as well :o

Indeed I agree she doesn't have one of those3 recognisable faces. I don't know whether that's because she can change her a ppearance quite drastically. I wouldn't turn her down though.

She's famous because she went out with Jude Law, and she has been crap in all her roles.

If she turned a Bond role down she did us all a favour.

I have never given a second thought to who was playing any of the characters besides Bond. For me, Bond was something I could look forward to just watching and believing. I prefer they use foreign actresses for the roles.
