I bought into a timeshare last year, so stayed at the Desert Rose Resort (one of the resorts owned by my timeshare). It was a nice place, close to MGM, Tropicana and Hooters. I drove out to gawk at the Lake Las Vegas Resort.....kaching...those people have some money (houses the size of hotels). http://www.lakelasvegas.com/ I also drove out to Red Rock Canyon...that is a really great drive...amazing little range of mountains.
Thanks goodness I got home in time tonight to catch the double-header. :007)
Monique that must have been fun staying there. All I could do was drive around and look at the architecture and palm trees. I wasn't dressed to go in the casino...I'm sure you need to look like a Bond girl to play there. -{
Monday-July 10th AMC 5:30am PST = The James Bond Story
And you need an account the size of Bonds!!! I read somewhere that the eventual cost of that building project could exceed 2 billion $$$$$$. Even the billagio was "only" 1.8... 8-)
Yes indeed, it is going to be the playground for the rich and famous, cause us poor folk won't be able to even get in the same room with them. They have concerts out there, so may try to get to one of those some day (but not in the summer) it's too frikin hot. It is 105 degrees at my house today....ouch!!!
I don't know where to put this. There is a speacial going on U.S. tv right now AMC network
Bond: You don't think I enjoyed what we did this evening, do you? What I did tonight was for King and country! You don't think it gave me any pleasure, do you?
Fiona: But of course, I forgot your ego, Mr. Bond. James Bond, who only has to make love to a woman and she starts to hear heavenly choirs singing.

Anyone hear of Bond showings coming soon?
Yep, there is a thread about it a few threads down...starts today Vampy.
The next Access Hollywood (which seems is only on at 4 AM in my market!) is doing a special segment on Bond's wardrobe, focusing on CR. Since it doesn't appear AH is broadcast over the weekend, I'm assuming this is Monday, 13 November.
Thank you SPIKE TV....here comes a Thanksgiving Bondathon. :007)

Did anyone see the Bond special on the History Channel tonight? It was Modern Marvels: More Bond Gadgets. I missed the first half hour, and it looked really interesting. It doesn't look like they are repeating it anytime soon either!

^I missed it. I just checked mY TiVo guide and it's not on before the 12th of May. I'll have to check my TiVo guide next Monday to see if it'll be on anytime past the 13th of May. I hope I remember to check.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope
Sean Connery's biography is on now on the Biography Channel. I don't see that it is replaying anytime soon so catch it while you can.

Spike is having another Bond-a-thon. I turned on my TV this morning to find Thunderball on. It looks like they are playing a new film every morning through next week. It's a great way to start out the day.

Over at MI6 I heard that Turner Classic movies is going to be airing the Sean Connery films soon.
I am really happy about this as like HBO, TMC runs movies commercial free which is becoming rare for movie channels these days. Here is a link to the article http://www.mi6.co.uk/mi6.php3
just thought I'd post this here, while I was in new york a couple of weeks ago one of the free cable channels on the hotel t.v was showing G.E. I watched it for a bit but something was nagging at the back of my mind, after about half an hour I realised that pierce's voice seemed to have been lowered it was during the first scene with M that it was realy obvious has anyone else noticed this or was it just me? it was about 11 P.M can't remember the channel though.
USA channel seems to be running a Bond movie everyday at 7am for the last 7 and coming 7 days. Set the DVR.
Dont wait for your ship to come in. Swim out and meet the bloody thing.

G4 will be playing some of the Bond films during March. Go to www.g4tv.com for details. I am not to impressed thought as they are only showing the same three movies over and over.
