I can only imagine just how much sweeter and vast PGR3 looks on the 360...
I cannot wait...but I have to just a little while longer.
PGR3 is fun because you can do so much in addition to racing. You can photograph your cars anywhere from any angle, either in the garages or during a race. You can record and save replays. And you can even design your own track layouts. A real steal at $50 if you ask me.
Oh, and the racing is fun too.

I had PGR2 and loved it. What new locales are they using this time around in the races?

Las Vegas is new. NY and London, which are in PGR3, were in PGR1, which I liked better than 2, although it was incredibly difficult and I was bad at it. I think Tokyo is in it as well.

You can also race or test drive a car at Germany's Nurburgring, including both the new F1 circuit and the old track.
I was absolutely terrible at PGR1 and PGR2; I find PGR3 to be easier to get into and play competitively.

I was rubbish at PGR1, 2 was MUCH more manageable. What do you do most events on? So far I've done most of them on Silver, and I'm only rank 8. I'm really not very good, but oh well. I bought the DBR9 and I love it. I also bought the Batmobile thing, which is insane.

I actually went thru all the races at the novice (steel?) level first. That let me get used to the game and also rack up some cash. Then I went back and did them all again at bronze and silver. That way, I got to Rank 1 right around when I started the silver races. The Gold level gets pretty tough but I've won some races on that as well. Platinum was too hardcore for me, except oddly enough the last Nurburgring race. For some reason I can ace that one on any level even though it's supposed to be the hardest one.
The cone challenges get pretty brutal at the higher levels; you really to chain a lot of moves with the car to rack up the kudos; just navigating the cones isn't enough.
Now, which car is the "Batmobile thing" ???
NightshooterIn bed with SolitairePosts: 2,917MI6 Agent
It is the Panoz, it costs 650,000.
I'm not too bad at the cone challenges. On PGR3 I was able to get a lot of them at gold, but gold is a lot harder, and it seems that they are harder in PGR3. I've been getting each silver cone challenge really easily, though, so far. But I'm only rank 8. The one thing I am terrible at is speed camera.

Well, looks like I might not be getting an XBox 360 very soon, my parents won't buy me one and I will never have that much money. UGH I am angry...little Italy, watch out...
NightshooterIn bed with SolitairePosts: 2,917MI6 Agent
I think so; I never saw it rain and I probably would have remembered it (it's never fun driving a rear wheel car in the rain). Maybe on some of the platinum levels.

That stinks. What happened, if you don't mind my asking.
Sounds to me like he's going to fire up The Godfather and open a can of whoop-ass on all the defenseless shops in Little Italy. How would Don Corleone put it: a man who doesn't spend time playing video games can never truly be a man.

I remember when I was his age or younger wanting one of those handheld football games that was the craze prior to the Nintendos coming out.
And by God...if I have to wait a little while for the 360 that darn it...I'm on the side of 0064's parents! )

Yeah, I hear you. I remember when I was a little tyke I practically begged my parents to get me an Atari 2600. By the time I was able to convince them they were all sold out. Flash forward 13 years; with my first paycheck from my first real job I decided to buy of all things a videogame system (the Sega Master System to be exact). Since then I've bought about every console that has been released and I've even imported stuff from abroad. Sometimes I think if my parents had just bought me that damn 2600 way back when I might have gotten it all out of my system right then and there.

Y'know, Tony, I used to think like that, too. But as I've gotten older, I've realized that there are certain things that are engrained into our DNA until the day we die. The part of our childhood that many adults neglect to embrace; we hold in high esteem.
Hell, I can live with that.

Oh...sorry 'bout that...anyways, I was referring to the Godfather earlier. I Love that game. It is sooo much fun despite the fact that the buildings are all the same.

Well, we still talk XBOX 360 every once in awhile.
I've been playing Call of Duty 2 a LOT, on Veteran (the hardest difficulty) and it so SO GOOD. Wow. Really hard, but the difficulty makes it fun as opposed to frustrating.

TonyDP, I want your final grade on CONDEMNED without spoiling it for me. Is it as tense as Silent Hill?

I'm confused about Condemned. Are you fighting zombies or homeless guys??
RogueAgentSpeeding in the Tumbler...Posts: 3,676MI6 Agent
My understanding is that it's survival horror involving an FBI agent on a hunt for a serial killer...and he's lured into an insane asylum in pursuit of.

Watching the reviews made me believe that hobos are attacking you- but the hobos look like zombies. Is there a supernatural element in the game?
RogueAgentSpeeding in the Tumbler...Posts: 3,676MI6 Agent
) I think everything comes at you at once in this title. That's what makes it so interesting to me. It's the Silent Hill fix I need before the next SH game is released.
C'mon, 360...

I'm just waiting to get my hands on Oblivion and Fight Night Round 3. My uncle is supposed to buy them for me, but he's been having trouble finding them at Costco, which is where he goes.
