Well, I got Battlefield 2 yester day and my reaction is... THIS GAME ISSSSSSS SSOOOOOOOO CCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL!!!!!! I love it. If you don't have it, get it. It is worth every cent of the $50 that I spent.
I just read that a new backwards compatibility update will be released sometime this week. Around 20 games are scheduled to receive the BC treatment and it was strongly hinted that two of them will be Lego Star Wars and Doom 3.
I'm really curious to see what Doom 3 (which looked great to begin with) will look like when upconverted to glorious Hi Def.

I only played the first level; it was fun but for some reason I never went back to it. If it does go BC that'll be the perfect excuse for me to play it again.
As for Doom 3, that may just be the spur RogueAgent needs to pull the trigger and get that 360. :v

Yeah, Tony, that does make it quite tempting to hurry up and get the 360 because the graphics already for D3 are impressive as it is. I can't imagine if they take it up a notch on High-Def...
Of course to invest the dollars into such a great console, I'll have to free up the adequate time to master many games I just don't have time on my schedule for. Night reminded me of that...
BTW, are any of the Rainbow Six games doable on Live between the consoles? I love those...

Both 3 and Black Arrow work. I only own Black Arrow, and I'm worse than terrible. I hate the aiming in that game, it is so erratic.
My purchase of a 360 is just around the corner, then all you guys (including you Rogue) can take delight in slaughtering me. Usually by the time I aim at someone my kids have shot me five times. Still enjoy it though.

Yeah win or lose, Barry, I just enjoy playing. With the exception of Doom 3 and survival horror, I pretty much suck at shooting games as well.

No. PGR2 did, well, it had the Caterham version. I'm kind of upset that it didn't, but I guess it just didn't have a top speed of 170, which was the cutoff.
Not to wring it out but nothing closely resembling it in 3, huh?
There's a few small open cockpit cars in there; the "pocket rocket" Night mentioned is a lot of fun to drive.

Like Night, I've never been a big fan of the Espirit. I guess I've always envisioned those types of vehicles as crutches to get inadequate guys chicks... )

You misunderstood me, RA. I LOVE the Esprits that 007 drives. They are beautiful. I HATE the new Esprits though, I think they lack class.

Looks like the latest BC update has been applied. I just played some Doom3 thru the 360 and it runs perfectly smooth. The bump in resolution makes everything look much more detailed as well. Even the ports of the classic Doom games work.
Sadly, none of the remaining Bond games other than Nightfire have gotten the BC treatment yet. A list of the new BC games can be found here.

Hey Night, I got a perfect 1000 gamerscore and all 50 achievements in Oblivion. I also got a hell of a headache by doing the final handful of quests in succession.
