Cool! I'm trying to get all the achievements in CoD2. Veteran is SO HARD!

I will probably try to get all the Oblivion achievements when I finally get it. Is it really hard, or does it just take a lot of time?

You can tweak the difficulty to your liking; I didn't find it hard at all. The game is huge however so it will take you a while to get familiar with the world and amass the achievements. I've put in about 90 hours so far and according to my stats I've done 145 quests. :o It can really take over your life that way.

Just to let everyone know, I've become addicted to GRAW. Online is amazgin- if you find someone you really enjoy playing with, you can play everyday for hours. It sucks you in.

Yeah, I'm addicted to BF2 right now. Played for 10 hours straight last week. It is soooo fun online....even though I'm not doing too well. Nonetheless, a very fun game. And, if it weren't for saving money for gasoline, I might have got CoD2...well, we'll see. :(

I tried the single and multi-player demos. The single was a little too slow paced for my tastes but the multiplayer was a lot of fun; I may take the plunge on GRAW when it comes down to about $30.

Oblivion continues to be my obsession. A new quest was made available today. Once I got home I skipped dinner, fired up the 360, downloaded the quest and spent the next two hours in a semi-daze playing thru it. :s

I can't wait for Oblivion! But I'm been playing too much GRAW recently. I play it when I should be studying for my global final. The single player is actually quite good, Tony. It isn't all that slow, actually, the multiplayer can be more slow if you play it tactically.

I only played the single demo level available on live so I'm sure it picks up after that. The amazing thing about GRAW for me are the graphics. I remember being flown over the city in the helicopter and marveling at the detail. And then the copter lands right in the middle of the city and you get out and start your mission. I love those kinds of seamless transitions as they really pull you into the "reality" of what you're playing.

And it looks like GRAW will be getting some downloadable content real soon...

Just got the first expansion to BF2 today, and it was definately worth it. I now have many more servers to chose from when I play online, so I don't have to wait around.

Hey, RA, Tony, are we playing Doom tomorrow night? Because I think we should.

I'm up for some Doom on Sunday. But Monday's a work day for me so I'll have to turn in early. How does 6:00pm EST sound? If RA doesn't show maybe we can try some co-op modes.
  • NightshooterNightshooter In bed with SolitairePosts: 2,917MI6 Agent
    Sounds good to me!

Sorry Tony, I thought you said 6:30, not 6:00. I was actually late even so, I ended up getting on at 7:00, but by that time you had been off for an hour. I'm still up for playing later tonight, though.

No problem Night. I was off and on till about 7:00 but didn't see you or RA; 8:00 is usually my cutoff. If you like, we can try again during the week.
  • NightshooterNightshooter In bed with SolitairePosts: 2,917MI6 Agent
Yeah, that would be fine. I'm about to eat dinner, so tonight is too late. But we'll try again, say Wed?

Sounds good. BTW, I was playing a little of the single player Doom3 during the week; I'd forgotten what a scary and atmospheric game that was. It actually seems to run better on the 360 with a smoother framerate and the bump in resolution improves the graphics considerably. It actually looks better than some "native" 360 games like Gun or Far Cry.
  • NightshooterNightshooter In bed with SolitairePosts: 2,917MI6 Agent
I started the single player game, as well, and boy am I terrible at it. Not sure how scared I was, but it was only the beginning. Anyway, I'm terrible at making shots with the pistol.

Don't get me wrong, both of those games were tons of fun. But I was really disappointed that the 360 versions were just ports of the Xbox games bumped up to a higher resolution. No new textures, no improved graphics engine, no additional levels, not even a "save anywhere" feature. Clearly, the 360 versions were rushed to cash in on the initial buying craze and sucker gullible gamers ( like me for instance. :o ).
  • NightshooterNightshooter In bed with SolitairePosts: 2,917MI6 Agent
I still want to pick up Gun when it gets cheaper, because it seemed really cool.

THE SOPRANOS ARE COMING TO THE 360!!!!!!

James G. is going to voice it! Yessss!

Okay, the gloves are off now. It's apparent that I've got to bump up my schedule to finally get the console ahead of time.

I'm praying that this game won't be a disappointment...

Well being a huge fan of the show, I'm hoping that the designers of this are somewhat in the ballpark to at least make it playable.

If done properly the possibilities may be endless. A poor man's GTA perhaps?

I'm not a fan of The Sopranos by any stretch of the imagination. I've seen a few episodes and I just don't get the appeal. And I really feel it paints us Italians in a bad light (go figure).

Anyhow, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being a modern-day version of the Godfather game; ie: you play a low level enforcer working your way up thru the family.

Well, T, being you're Italian-American, I can certainly respect your stand on the "bad light" issue. The Sopranos really do play up character development very well with sterotypical violence kept to a minimum. At least that's what I get out of it. But you may be right that it turns out to be a Godfather clone.

Little Caesar, Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale...I luv 'em! {[]

And rumor has it that it will be out for 360 as well as PS3, and same goes with Assassin's Creed.

Oh, and by the way, RA, you missed out. Tony and I played some Doom 3 co-op and it was pretty fun.

Yeah, I got on as soon as you guys were signing out. I saw you both and couldn't get the darn disc in fast enough...around 8:30 right?

I probably would've caught you in time if not for playing FightNight TRound 3 online again...
