I'll have to take pics of my setup as well. It's still in the working stages- there is still too much light in the room, I think I need some very heavy, black drapes. I've got the Sony HS20 projector on a 100 something inch diagonal screen. As for the surround sound, which is also still in progress as the center channel needs to be replaced with something much more powerful, I've got very old Altec 19's in the front with 14's in the back. Interestingly enough, these things are so incredibly powerful that I have no need for a subwoofer, except for maybe a really incredible one for many thousands of dollars. The reciever is an Integra, which I think is Yamaha's high quality line or something. It's a pretty good setup, but there is still a lot of work to be done. The projector is at an angle, and while the Sony has a side shot gadget to try and cope with that, the picture isn't a perfect rectangle, so eventually we will have to place the projector on the ceiling or build a shelf for it. There's more to be done as well, but I think I'll stop here.

Ther are few things I enjoy more in life than comparing notes on home theater rigs, it just gets my juices going.
I recently read that Panasonic is going to be releasing a 103" plasma TV. I want one (not that I could ever afford it, unless I hit the lottery).

That 103" looks incredible!!! I bet it has a fantastic black level.

Anyone that has been watching the progress of Test Drive Unlimited for the 360 will be happy to know that the game is going to retail for $40! Yes!!!!
The $40 price tag will defintitely make the game more attractive (I'll definitely be giving it a closer look).
But, I've also heard that the number of cars available with the base game has gone from 150 down to 90 (or possibly even as low as 60). The remaining cars will now be sold separately as themed "car packs" over the XBL Marketplace.

I think it has 125 cars/bikes, which is still a huge number.

Uh oh, RA and Tony, I've got bad news. It seems that the Xbox 360 version of the Sopranos was cancelled. It is now a PS2 exclusive. So now you have less incentive to buy a 360, dn't you, RA?

I feel bad for Rogue but personally I could care less. I never got the appeal of that show and had no intention to buy it anyway. Also, it sounds like it was shaping up to be a straight port of the PS2 version with only high-res textures to differentiate it. The 360 has been flooded with shabby ports like this and it really doesn't need anymore stuff like that. THQ was smart to cancel it as it would only be embarrased by Gears of War, Mass Effect and other 2nd generation 360 games in the pipeline.
Trust me Rogue, you're better off with Condemned (in retrospect, I regret selling that game back as I now have an itch to re-explore it some some), PGR3 (a racing game that never gets old) and some upconverted Doom3 goodness.
BTW, the demo to Rockstar's Table Tennis is now available on Xbox Live. I downloaded it and I must admit it was a lot of fun and very addictive. I'm not sure if I'd fork over $40 for it since the reviews I've read said it was a very bare bones game with very few game modes. But, the actual game of table tennis is very well translated and once you get a rally going with your opponent, it really gets intense. Visuals and physics are top notch as well.

I really want to download it. Tony, if you like Doom, I'd suggest downloading the Prey demo. It is like Doom, but 100 times bewtter, at least for my tastes.

I bought Prey a couple of weeks ago (birthday present to myself). It's a very good game with some really interesting twists to the gameplay (like the ability to turn gravity on its ear) but I'm having a little trouble maintaining interest. I play it for a while and then go on to something else. It hasn't really grabbed me yet. I've also been running around taking my folks to doctors appointments and whatnot so that may have something to do with it. I'd going to try to make some real headway on it this weekend though.

Now that's a downer. I figured Prey would be sort of addictive.

The beginning of the game certainly is. I wish all cinematics were like that- in game. But once you get to the actual shooting, it isn't all that amazing. But I didn't play the demo for that long.
Tony, have you played Cloning Clyde? I'm about to download the demo.

Actually, you get some cool weapons in the later levels and your "spirit walk" ability leads to some interesting puzzles. As I said, I think my issues with it have more to do with not having enough time to play the game properly.

Yeah, I tried it. It takes advantage of the 360's high def capabilities as it runs in full screen and all the objects have a 3D look to them as you move around. Some of the puzzles are pretty sneaky too and require you to place Clyde and his clones at strategic spots across the level to open doors and exits up. I'm not much of a platforming fan these days but from the level I played it did seem like a well made game, just not my cup of tea.
Oh, and I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but if you haven't downloaded it yet, check out the trailer to Mass Effect. It's an action/rpg game made by Bioware (the same people who did the excellent Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic). The trailer is 100% in-game footage and looks positively amazing. The storyline sounds massive, and the environments, spaceships and facial expressions on the characters look like PS3 CGI tech demos (only they're actually running on the Xbox360 hardware and are rendered in realtime). It's gone straight to the top of my "must buy" list for the 360.
Right now I am looking at the game Crysis with wanting eyes. It looks like an amazing game and it looks like it could be very addictive. I sure hope it has online multiplayer. I am also looking forward to Just Cause and Mercs 2. I think that I might end up getting a 360 this winter for christmas. I sure hope so.
I think this is ok to ask, but does anyone know where a good place to download demos quickly is??? tHis is for the PC.

Just wanted to tell everyone that the new Artist of the Month on Xbox Live Marketplace is Audioslave- Chris Cornell's band (he is doing the theme for CR). How cool is that? I'm gonna download the songs.
Agh! How I hate PS2 exclusive games! Especially how they made Soul Calibur III that way, it makes me hold Sony in contempt! It ranks number 4 on my top 5 list of bad things!
1. AVTAK haters
2. Bed and breakfasts
3. "Licence to Kill"
4. PS2 exclusive games
5. My math teacher last year.
