If that Xbox 360 version 2 is for real, I will kill each and every person employed at Msoft. Unless they'll let me trade up.

Wow. Are they trying to make updating game consoles as frequent as pcs now?

This is getting as bad as drug-dealing; once you're hooked, you have to have more. :s

Let's try to keep this in perspective. Assuming that unit is for real, it really doesn't have any enhanced abilities for playing games. The HDMI port and larger hard drive would only come into play for people who are interested in the multimedia aspects of the 360 like downloading and streaming videos, watching HD-DVD movies or those who want to use it as an entertainment center hub. As far as playing games goes, you can still get 1080p over component and 20gb should be plenty of room to store all your game saves and downloads. I very much doubt MS will ever release a game that only works on certain models or looks significantly different across different models.

Microsoft might release something like this to one-up the PS3, but only if the PS3 ever starts to get a bigger foothold than what it has now. I could see them dumping the core system, making the current premium system the new $299 core model, and making this the deluxe $399 version.

    Just my two cents.

It isn't that that I'm mad about. I don't expect it to change gameplay. It is the fact that I've already invested $400 into something, and now they come out with something bigger and better and I won't be able to get it because I already have one. If they had released that first, I would've gotten it. My 20GB HD is already filled completely- no movies or TV shows and very little music on it. Just a few demos, some game videos, and game saves. Unless they offer an upgrade service, I will be ****ed.

Hey Rogue, here's some info on 360 game that is sure to interest you: Left 4 Dead, a cooperative survival horror game. Its in the early stages of development and isn't due out until Q4 2007 but it sounds intriguing:

Thanks, Tony; I'm excited already. That 360 for me is pretty much a done deal anyway (there's something bulky in the bottom of the hall closet). :D

I can't seem to put Condemned down...yet there isn't a thing that I can do with it right now. :))

Unless it is a NICE pair of boot, of course.

When are you officially getting it?

Wouldn't it be funny if it was a PS3? Bad funny, but funny.

    Yes...very bad funny, Night.

My wife hates to ruffle my feathers on matters like this so she only gets me sure things; I'm more particular than she is but I honestly don't ask for much at all.

Glad to hear the 360 is on its way Rogue; be sure to let us know when you set it up. It also looks like you beat out 0064 on who would get one first, well done old man. {[]

Hey Night, GRAW for the 360 is down to $40; is it worth it?
  • RogueAgentRogueAgent Speeding in the Tumbler...Posts: 3,676MI6 Agent
Unless of course, Tony, 0064 is physically in control of one before next weekend; I have to play dumb that I'm not expecting one...despite a 360 game in my possession... :D

It was worth it at $60. My favorite 360 game by far.

Hmm ... alright, I'm almost finished the single player campain on Rainbow 6: Vegas; I might pick it up next.

Yeah, my bad on that one, I still have it though but I need to relearn all the controls. Did you finally beat the single player game? Last time I checked you hadn't been online in about a week.
  • NightshooterNightshooter In bed with SolitairePosts: 2,917MI6 Agent
Yeah I beat single player. That last fight was a pain in the ass.

By the time I'd gotten to it, I had powered up Iron Man to ridiculous levels at the expense of other characters; all his special attacks were maxed out. At that point, Doom was no match for him.

By the way, Justice League Heros for the original Xbox plays and controls very similarly, although you only control two characters at a time.

Thought some people would be interested in the opportunity to get them selves a free Xbox 360. If not that is fair enough but don't dismiss this great opportunity quickly its very easy.

It's a simple process from which everyone benefits as shown from this review by the BBC

    Here is how it works:

    - Click the link below
    360userbar.gif

    - Register (this is quick and free)

    - Sign up to one of the offers

I recommend lovefilm as it is a free trial which you can end before you are charged anything. I have been a member of lovefilm for over a year now and find heir service very quick and reliable. The also rent out Xbox 360 games which you can keep for as long as you want once you are done with it send it back in the pre-paid envelope and the will ship you the next title in you queue brilliant :)

    - Refer just 10 other people to do the same

Thanks for you time I really appreciate it :D

I saw a video to this game recently; the mix of art deco, retro futuristic style, sci-fi and horror is very interesting and I'll be curious to see what the finished product looks like.

Will you be getting the PC version 0064, or are you still angling for a 360?
  • NightshooterNightshooter In bed with SolitairePosts: 2,917MI6 Agent
Bioshock does look incredible. Tony, download the video of it on XBL Marketplace if you still can, it is incredible.

Will do. There's also a video on the latest OXM disc; it might actually be the same one. BTW have you or your dad made any progress with Star Trek Legacy? Still haven't popped it back in my 360 since I bought it (too many games right now).

Ah, we put it in, he wasn't impressed. It was too difficult for him. As someone new to console gaming, he found the button combinations hard to remember, so it is safe to say he won't be picking it up again. As for me, I'll pop it in now and again, but it is a little slow for me.

Yeah, that was my reaction too, way too much to remember. The only way to get anywhere is to really learn the controls and then play the game exclusively until you're done with it; with that complex control scheme you can't be bouncing back and forth between it and other games as you'll quickly forget everything.

    It is gorgeous, though.
I tried to do a versus against the Borg... it did not go well.
