Gears of War was fun, but I wonder why our game of MUA was so glitchy and quit all the time. Puts a damper on the fun. Still hoping to try and play with RA though, all three of us.
GoW coop was fun; I'd forgotten how pretty that game is - it beats the pants off anything currently on PS3 - and we even unlocked a couple of achievements.
As far as MUA, I think the problem was with that particular game and not Xbox Live since our GoW session never failed or even hiccuped once. The server being used was probably overtaxed or had some other issue going on.

I just checked my achievements list; it was for completing a co-op level as Dom. You were hosting and thus playing as Phoenix - that's why you didn't get it.
Have any of you completed it on insane yet? I need to do act 3 and 4 on insane and 9 more COG tags.
Not me. I just played it at the normal level. I'm really not into unlocking all the achievements for a particular game; I just play these games for fun ( and my hand/eye coordination isn't what it used to be ). Ramping up the difficulty too high just makes everything more tedious for me most of the time.

I thought it would be tedious reding the same game. But the normal level is so easy it's not much of a challenge. I am enjoying insane/hardcore alot more.
Just got me new LCD. What can I say I wish I had bought a HD tv earlier. The improvement over my old CRT is unbelievable. The 360 is so much better. It's like playing different games.

Congratulations on your purchase. I remember getting my plasma and being blown away by the widescreen, sharpness and depth of colors. Buying a new TV always breathes new life into video games and consoles like the 360 and PS3 just beg to be played on a hi-def display.
Have been playing Halo 1 and Halo 2, I have to agree with Night that Halo 1 is the better game. What I don't like about Halo 2 is all the various creatures some good, some bad, half the time I can't tell the difference and end up shooting allies. I prefer the simplier humans vs aliens scenario in Halo 1.
I also see Microsoft will be coming out with the bigger hard drive soon.
My mistake, the article referred to a bigger memory unit. Not hard drive. I read it yesterday and didn't remember correctly. It's hell getting old. Anyway, here is the article I was referring to.

Never. That is weird. I have had disks that don't work. I had to exchange my copy of PGR2 about 3 times before I got it to work.

That stinks. I remember once buying a game for the Sega CD and upon getting home and opening the case I discovered that there was no CD in there at all!. What happened in my case was that the store had been using my case as a display item and they had never put the CD back in before selling it to me. I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happened to you Rogue. They probably used the case in their displays and while repackaging it they put the wrong DVD and booklet in there. Gamestop and EBGames (which are the same company) are notorious for opening games, storing the DVD's away and using the boxes as display items, and them resealing the games and selling them as "new".
Civilization...good heavens, where did they find that disc...that game is like 15 year old...anyways, I made my list of 6 games ill definately buy in 2007 and it looks like I may not have to bite the next-gen bullet for quite a while as the are all PC if I choose to go that direction.

2. Frontlines: Fuel of War
3. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

But right now im in a really anti-console mood as me friends' annoiances are really steering me away from the 360 and I am really coming to hate Gears of War. The Wii...well, I still think its a piece of junk, and the PS3 id too expensive...so, PC it is for me and im lovin it. {[]

There are fanboys for every element of the PC. Their worse than anything else. I used to think my PC was all I needed and almost sold my 360 just after I bought it. But now I'd never get rid of it.
But I didnt change my opinion...I never said I wasnt getting a 360...i was just expressing my dislike for it.
So let me see if I have this straight:
- You hate Gears of War because you ran into a couple of fanboys. 8-)

Like S96024 said, every game has its fanboys. If you don't like them, mute them or just find another session. Also, what's going to happen if your obnoxious friend tells you he loves PC gaming someday?

Well...here's an update. As I told Nightshoooter on the phone last night, I returned the game to the store only to have them think that I was pulling something shady. After constant back and forths with me getting angrier and impatient as we went along, they finally decided to give me a refund. I found it sort of odd that GOW would be sold out brand new with the exception of my counterfeit copy ?:) . I mean that it's not one of those games that appeases eveybody.
I had to have my son attest to the fact that he saw me physically unwrap the game much less was with me when I bought it. I'll buy it at a store close to work instead hopefully minus the drama.

Sorry to hear you got so much grief Rogue. This is why I rarely buy games at EBGames and Gamestop anymore - they're always out of stock of the high profile games and love to repackage open box/display items and sell them at "new" prices - which is what I think they did with you.
On those rare occasions when I do get a game from them, I always open it as soon as I exit the store to make sure the right CD is inside the case. Caveat Emptor.

Anyone else think the new "dog factor" in Fable 2 sounds lame? I mean, I love dogs, but it sounds kind of stupid in the game.

Barry, where did you read about the larger hard drive? I'd heard rumors but it was never confirmed.
Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter 2 comes out today; I think I'll be trading in a few older games (maybe GRAW1 and Superman Returns) towards it.
