Normal level, Night. I am not the best shooter although I am getting better. Made pretty good prgress today. Unlike my kids (and maybe you) I can't play hours on end. After about an hour I need to take a break.
I am willing to play the online game at an agreed upon time. When I was online the other day I saw you were online.

Well, let's see when Tony and RA are free as well. Let's set up a time.
I only beat Legendary on co-op, using the cheap hide and respawn tactic. But back when I played Halo a lot, I could beat Heroic diffculty on my own.

Does anyone have an update as to when SILENT HILL 5 comes out for the next gen console ?:) ? I haven't heard or seen anything indicating its debut.
Why games like this aren't Xbox Live multi-player is beyond me.

There had been rumors that it was supposed to be developed for the PS3 but there has been no news about it in months.
It could be that the developers are rethinking what platforms to support in light of the PS3's relatively disappointing sales to date and that may be why there is no info forthcoming.

I broke down and preordered Spiderman 3 for my 360. Man that game looks awesome, and I loved the previous games.

The two previous games started out strong but I quickly lost interest and moved onto other games. Make sure to post some impressions when you get it.
I picked up the Pinball FX game for Xbox Live Arcade. It has three tables, including a spy themed one and most of the popular pinball conventions are supported (ie: multi-ball, mini challenges, multi-tiered tables, etc.) The graphics are also very nice - the car themed table especially has a photo realistic look to it - and several camera views are available. Overall, not bad for 800 points ($10).

Being an NYCer probably helps my love for the game- it gives me an entirely new way to appreciate the city I live in. But honestly, I spent hours just swinging around in Spiderman 2. The swing mechanic is amazingly fluid, perfectly balanced, and one of my favorite things to do in video games. I liked Spiderman the movie (the game), but Spiderman 2 and Ultimate Spiderman were incredibly fun games for me, and in my list of favorite games ever.

Engadget says it is okay I didn't buy the 360 elite...
Interesting article, thanks for sharing. That writeup was pretty much what I was expecting. I've never been able to see much of a difference betweem 720p and 1080i so I'm not surprised that there is even less noticable difference between 1080i and 1080p. The larger hard drive might come in handy eventually but anyone thinking about upgrading to the Elite solely for a bump in visual quality should seriously think again.

I keep having to delete demos to make room for new ones, as well as videos and music. 20GB is NOT enough, especially if every video you download is 720p.

Beat GRAW 2 today. The ending was pretty... lame. Some cool missions, and some exciting weapons throughout the whole thing, my favorite being the M14 EBR.
The coolest parts are when you have an M1A1 and a Littlebird copter to back you up. Lots of explosions.
Almost done with Halo, the Library level was awesome. Halo has to be the best shooter game i ever played.
Night, when you sit down to play how long do you normally play at one sitting? You seem to beat a lot of games, so I figure you are there for a while.

You know, when I owned my Xbox 1, I didn't beat many games because I was always getting new ones. But now that I have my 360, and I guess nw that games are more expensive, and also with the introduction of achievement points, I really want to get the most out of as many games as I can stand to.
How long I play depends on my mood. Sometimes, I'll fire up the console for 30 minutes and get frustrated or bored. Sometimes, like when PGR2 came out for Xbox 1, I'll play for 10 hours straight on a weekend morning. But I think most of the time I'll play for 1 and a half to 3 hours in one sitting. It all really depends on my mood and how much time I have.

Most Ubisoft games have very lame endings - Rainbow Six: Vegas was really weak too. I need to finish GRAW2 myself; there really won't be any noteworthy games for the 360 until mid-May at the earliest - Spiderman 3 and Forza 2 - this will be a good time to polish off some games that have been sitting on the shelf.
Of course, this will also be the time when I'll be most vulnerable about getting a PS3. I tried a few PS3 demos over the weekend: Formula 1 was the best of the bunch with a great sense of speed and good on-track graphics. Gran Tourismo HD was very sharp but also something of a jag-fest; the visuals had no anti-aliasing at all and everything had a high res but coarse, jagged look to it. I also tried Ridge Racer and am convinced that it looks and controls better on my 360. Like GT it has very high res but coarse, jaggy graphics and it was sometimes hard to make out where you were going - pretty surprising since the game was running at 1080i.

I still need to finish Vegas, thanks for reminding me! Have you downloaded the new MUA SMash pack yet, Tony? I haven't decided whether I will or not.

Im having the same issue now. I have to many games to play and I cant get through them all....it doesnt help that im playing ESIV: Oblivion with a 50 some-ot hour campaign and STALKER with a 20 hour campaign and CoD 2 with at least 10 hours and the fact that im distracted with its multiplayer...plus, I got back into an old strategy game and I plan to pick up Company of Heros soon...the money is flying out!!!

Not yet; I'm a little undecided myself. I'm not particularly wild about most of the characters in the expansion; I would have preferred Captain Marvel (ie: MarVell of the Kree) or Nova: The Human Rocket. Also, I hear there is a "Gold" version of MUA being released later this month. I want to see if that includes any additional content before making a decision.
And here's a little article for RogueAgent (and any other football fans out there) on 2K Sports' 2K8 football game. At last an alternative to the accursed EA Sports.
Well, im on another gaming binge....I got Counter Strike Source today and tomorrow im getting Company of Heros!!!! I cant wait as its been a while since ive played an RTS...
Never really got into any 360 game. Could play Dead Rising for quite a long time. But generally i'm bored after about half an hour. I used to be able to play Counter Strike all day long though.

The spring and summer months are easily the worst for new videogames; I haven't seen much on the imminent horizon for any console that interests me. And I still haven't been able to work up the commitment to fire up GRAW2 or Star Trek: Legacy again.
I actually started up a new game of Oblivion instead and started replaying the main adventure as a slightly different character (more magically oriented); and upon entering the first Oblivion gate that takes you to an alternate realm that looks a lot like Hell, I found myself saying "I really missed coming here."

CS bores me after five minutes.

I've never been used to mouse and keyboard controls, so honestly, I wasn't very good.
I just want to point out the footage for the new Simpsons game looks amazing, it looks like you are actually in the cartoon. Check it out on ign.

If you're looking for a decent Simpsons game now, you could try Simpsons: Hit and Run. It's basically a GTA style game set in Springfield and you play as a different Simpsons character in each segment. The animation is well done, although the Simpsons have an CGI look to them (almost like the Homer Squared episode), all the actors from the show lend their voices, and pretty much the entire town of Springfield is available for you to explore. It's a "greatest hits" game so it can be found for $20 or less and it is backwardly compatible with the 360.

I'm not a big Simpsons person, I was just blown away by the graphics and wanted to mention it.
There are a couple of new noteworthy demos on Xbox Live. Forza Motorsport 2 is up; only one track and about 24 cars to choose from. The cars look nice and control well but the generic track layout looks a little bland. I've always preferred games that focus on racing (ie: PGR3 or Burnout) rather than minute tweaking and detailing so I'm still undecided about this one but it does seem well done for what it is.
Also up is a quick demo to Blacksite: Area 51, a first person shooter in which you and your squadmates try to liberate a town overrun by aliens. Very nice visuals here (check out the facial expressions on your squadmates) as well as some very loud explosions. I enjoyed the last Area 51 game on Xbox and this looks to be a good followup too.
Thanks for the info Tony, I will have to let my son know as he enjoyed the last Area 51 game.
I am still playing Halo. I have been on the road a lot again lately and haven't had much time to play. I promise to be done before Halo 3 is out. )
If you consider yourself a real gamer, you also have to make sure you finish Halo 2 before part 3 arrives. {:) Seriously though, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the $69.95 limited edition of the game will include remastered cinemas from the first two games - that will bring anybody up to speed on the plot.
As for Forza 2, my brother is playing it right now and absolutely loves it. Looks like I'll be picking it up as soon as it debuts.
