I had/have them all preordered on Amazon. I'm getting them for Christmas, and I can't wait. (especially after reading that IGN review)

Here's the best deal I've found:
www.deepdiscountdvd.com. Sets 1 and 2 are $54.89 each, plus DD currently has a 20% off sale. Just type in the word "discount" when the site asks for a coupon code. I've used DDDVD many times, with never any problems.

I watched a little bit of TB and TSWLM tonight, mainly the PTS sequences for each movie, to get a feel for the picture and sound.

The picture is vastly superior to the 2000 special editions; the image is much sharper and the colors more vibrant and saturated.

The sound has also been jazzed up; the Dolby Digital 5.1 track has all kinds of nifty little effects I never noticed before like the sound of Col. Boitier's car idling outside when he returns home.

Overall, this quick sampling has left me quite pleased and I'm looking forward to revisiting them all again.

Don't know if I can bring myself to purchase a whole set. Really want TB though. Will probably break down at some point.

Just as an FYI, Volumes 3 and 4 have now been released as well. Here are a couple of links with a breakdown of what is in each volume and a comparison to the 2002 editions:

    Volume 3:

    Volume 4:

Also, Best Buy has an offer where you can pick up both volumes for $100; a substantial savings off their individual MSRP.
