Have anybody seen or knew of this scaramanga pen? This is an actual working fountain pen that served as the basis for the design of the golden gun pen/barrel component. Scaramanga also uses one but in his custom gold version.

Anyone want to confirm which of these images is closest to the screen authentic gun?
Could also do with knowing the diameter on the SD GG.
There are very few photos i have found of muzzle (i.e. pen cap) and the detail of the pocket clip that forms the front iron sight.

LOL, but a good thread!! surprised nobody chipped in on this.
Once i get the pen in the post, i will measure it and send you any model codes etc.
Ive bought it off photos alone, so i have no dims or anything, but the cap and nib etc look good.
Do you have any dims of the one on the SD?

This is the screenshot from the film. DanJaq-off, this was the first issue i spotted with the screen pens. Scaramangas writing pen was much smaller than the one used as the barrel.

I have spent 3 weeks looking for the exact fountain pen he used to write with, and I believe this is it:
WATERMAN (MADE IN FRANCE) VASTA PLAQUE OR G, model. Not sure what year it was introduced, but it was in circulation around the time of the film.
Hopefully you concur its an actual SA match?!? I think it is from the limited screen shots ive seen.
Once my actual one arrives by international shipping, I will post some high res photos and dimensions.

They are 2 different pens anyway.
Look at the comparison picture above. it goes from about 12mm dia (the one ive bought) suddenly upto about 15nn dia (the screen prop / SD style pen.)
The one ive bought is the one scaramanga writes with, NOT the one he actually screws into the gun.

I have no idea, if the Waterman pen came in different sizes (just like Montblanc is doing 4 different sizes right now) but I doubt it.
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
this is why, after over 10 years of flinging my parker at people and shouting "GET DOWN!!!", it has yet to explode.

Luckily parkers are 10 a penny.
Hopefully my expensive punt on this waterman pays off. I think its flying across the atlantic at the moment judging by the tracking info!

yeah, just a bit. International shipping sucks.
I have some other stuff coming from the states too, which I guess could take a week or so.

parker jotters are ten a penny, but the right ones aint made anymore, so they're a bit harder to find. there is a subtle difference between the GE era and the modern day ones.
