Thanks for the link, Tony. I for one am truly excited to see this; Alexander & Stevenson both know what's at stake and if all goes well we should finally get a constant franchise out of this character. Putting him back in seedy, Marvel NYC, albeit fake, certainly helps with the asthetic for starters...
What will hurt it though is it's rated R tag and though it might be a critical success from fans, may not even reach 100 mil.
One thing that I'm pretty certain of is that with Lexi's background as a black belt champ, she will not skimp on the action to give us a load of emo and Ray's a perfect choice for the MAX Series version. B-)
I love both the earlier ones...hopefully I'll like the third.

This may have already been mentioned, but accordng to AICN, the new JLA film will be titled Justice League Mortal or Justice League: Mortal, and Hugh Keays-Byrne (Toecutter from Mad Max) will be playing the Martian Manhunter.

I've heard these rumors as well. Last time I saw Hugh Keays-Byrne was in an adaptation of Moby Dick. At the time, he was a little too pudgy around the middle to make a convincing Manhunter - so unless he lost a lot of weight, this is either bogus, Manhunter will be all CGI and Byrnes will just provide the voice, or George Miller is going for the David Ogden Stiers look from that failed JLA TV pilot.
Variety is also reporting that JLA has been greenlit although WB still hasn't confirmed anything.

The Calgary Herald has posted an interview with actor William Hurt on playing Gen. "Thunderbolt" Ross in the upcoming Hulk movie.
they look a bit over done for me but it will be interesting to see how it comes out
Thanks for the link Agent_M. Ozymandias could stand a bit more work but I actually like them all, especially Night Owl and Silk Spectre ( although for very different reasons ;% ). After seeing what he did with 300, I have faith that Zack Snyder can deliver an entertaining version of Watchmen as well.
I also loved this line from the comments section: awaiting Batman fans to cry in anguish. So true. )
looking at the watchmen pics again they're growing on me I just think the nite owl looks odd....just realised the cowl doesn't connect to the cape perhaps thats what was throwing me off, that and the fact he does'nt have a beer belly.

It's official, you'll be seeing The Incredible Hulk teaser trailer next week! The announcement:

This first opportunity to see material from the motion picture will be aired at approximately 9:56 p.m. EDT/6:56 p.m. PDT on MTV, MTVU, MTV2, VH1, Spike TV, Nick at Nite and CMT.

About "The Incredible Hulk"
"The Incredible Hulk" kicks off an all-new, explosive and action-packed epic of one of the most popular superheroes of all time. In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk.
Living in the shadows -- cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) -- Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt), and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power.
As all three grapple with the secrets that led to The Hulk's creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as The Abomination (Tim Roth), whose destructive strength exceeds even The Hulk's own. And on June 13, 2008, one scientist must make an agonizing final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside -- The Incredible Hulk.
I hope this one gets fans pumped; I'm a little nervous about it. Now hopefully coming soon....a PUNISHER: War Zone teaser!
And not straight to video like SOME here believe... :v

It sounds fantastic. I hope that much less time is dedicated to explaining how Banner became The Incredible Hulk than in the Ang Lee film. That kind of spoiled the Ang Lee film for me.

It hasn't been mentioned yet here, but one film I am really looking forward to is Hellboy 2. Surely there are others here who are also looking forward to this particular sequel?

Speaking of Hellboy, my brother and I picked up the hi-def BluRay version as it was on sale. We hadn't seen the movie in a while and the visual upgrade was really impressive (especially Hellboy's fight with the Old One at the end) - really colorful and far more visible detail. Also to our surprise, this was a "director's cut" which added about 10 minutes of story to the film.

Did the extra footage add anything to the film? I'm always wary of director's cuts. (Unless it's Blade Runner, in which case I'll take as many cuts as are available.

I just saw it. I completely forgot about it, and the picture (and the trailer) remind me of just why I am looking forward to this film. No, they remind me of why I can NOT wait to see this film.

It's been so long since I saw the original film that I'm not 100% sure of what the extra material was. Near as I can tell, it's mostly character development moments and a few scenes play out a little longer; no new action or subplots or anything like that.

I just think that Marvel's pushing their luck on this one. Outside of the John Byrne stories, I never had much interest in the character. Hank Pym is just too Ray Palmer to me...
Article courtesy of Empire Magazine:
Exclusive: Edgar Wright Talks Ant Man
And he's working with Simon Pegg again
Despite grabbing gold at the Sony Ericsson Empire Awards, Hot Fuzz helmer Edgar Wright clearly isn’t ready to rest on his laurels just yet. He’s ready to roll on a number of projects starting off with an adaptation of minuscule superhero Ant Man.
He’s been attached to the big-screen version of Marvel's tiny comic book superhero - a character who can communicate with insects - for a while and the time, it seems, has come for the little man to make his move towards the big screen.
“It’s written and we’re doing a second draft of it,” said Wright. “It’s going to be less overtly comedic than anything else I’ve ever done. It’s more of a full-on action adventure sci-fi film but with a comedic element – in the same spirit of a lot of escapist fare like that. It’s certainly not a superhero spoof or pastiche and it certainly isn’t a sort of Honey I Shrunk The Kids endeavour at all.”
He’s not got anybody in mind to play comicdom’s tiniest hero just yet, so the big question at the moment is what incarnation will the hero take - the goody-two-shoes scientist Hank Pym originated by comic legends Stan Lee and Jack Kirby or Ant Man mark-II, the more roguish Scott Lang?
“Ah well, it could be Scott Lang, it could be Hank Pym, it could be both – okay it is both, now there’s an exclusive for you.”
While Wright puts the finishing touches to his script with co-writer Joe Cornish, he’s got some other projects on the boil, including another collaboration with Simon Pegg. Could this be the final part of his so-called Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy?
“That’s one of the things that we’re going to do with Working Title who we’ve just signed a two-picture deal with,” he said. “It will have comedy and a cross-genre in a similar way.
So how will it compare to Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead?
“Well, it’ll be a trilogy in tone but I can’t say any more than that. If you announce what the subject matter is, it can still be 18 months off and by that point everybody would be sick of it.”
Clearly playing his cards close to his chest, we guess we’ll have to wait and see how it’ll all pan out. What do you reckon to the Brist director’s latest revelations? Does he have the Wright stuff? Have your say below...

IESB has some new info on Superman: The Man of Steal. There's some good news, some bad news, and some ??? news.
The good news:
The film is still alive at WB and writers are making their pitches.
The bad news:
Bryan Singer is still slated to direct and is "100% behind the project".
The ??? news:
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci of Transformers and Star Trek fame may be brought in to write the story. If nothing else, this should mean there will be a lot of action.
