Kirsty Lang talks to composer David Arnold who has just completed the soundtrack for the new Bond film, Casino Royale, the fourth time he has provided the score for James Bond.

David Arnold's soundtrack to Casino Royale is out on 13 November, the film comes out on 17th November.

    Yes, he doesn't seem to like Brosnan's films much, does he? Says he can actually believe this Bond is capable of the things we see him do and that it's nice to have a section of a Bond film where there's not something blowing up every two minutes. Danger.. danger- incoming!

    Odd that he wasn't asked about the Bond theme itself- I'm sure listeners would have been a little confused not to hear it in a feature about the Bond composer.

    I like his attitude to using contemporary material too- quite right. Seems funny he didn't mention how fashionable Barry's stuff was when he started; by the example he gives of DAF I think the Bond sound was fading slightly probably because of its anachronistic qualities.
