Will there be another Bond "Movie" Game?

I'm confused! It's been a long time since a real old-fashioned movie-based game. FRWL sucked, and it looks to me like people are just making stories up to make a bond game! DAD would have made a GREAT game! I miss Rare owning the Bond games. Does anyone else agree with me?

Not sure. Shame about what you said about FRWL, I was thinking of picking that up.

There's another thread about this topic around here somewhere but, to make a long story short: Activision now owns the license to James Bond videogames. They've said there will be no Bond games until 2007 at the earliest. Seeing as the last few games were not received well either critically or commercially (EON was the last Bond game to really sell well) I think Activision is waiting to see how CR is received at the box office; that will probably go a long way towards helping them decide what kind of a Bond game they should make and whether it will tie into a new movie or go for an original storyline.

im not sure how i feel about this, i wasnt a great fan of FRWL, and i did enjoy the old movie-game tie-ins, but i also like the fact that revently they have been making up new sorylines, it gives people variety IMO, but having said that even though i loved nightfire on xbox they just seemed to take storylines from old bond movies and tried to incorporate them all in one story, similar to the film Die Another Day (which i hated), which is why a DAD game wouldnt go down too well with me

^^ You are so wrong. FRWL was one of the best games i have ever played. DAD would make a good game thats where i agree with you now.

Nightfire (all platforms) was originally meant to be a Die Another Day location. However, as the movie was being developed too late for initial work to be done, it was scraped and we got this "game."

All that survives is Pierce Brosnan, the Vanquish, the Ice driven location. Additionally, some people will swear that one of Drake's party guests bears an uncanny resemblance to one Halle Berry.

I also like the FRWL game. It was a little on the easy side (but not as easy as a number of people say), but the levels were really long. I think they might be the longest in the series. The character models were great, the music was vintage Bond, the game captured the 1960s well, the shooting was really good. I liked pin-pointing grenades and shooting them off enemies. It was nice to have Sean Connery back as Bond. The one negative is the driving controls. They were bad. I don't know why the makers changed the controls from the other Bond games. They other games had good driving controls.

A few weeks ago I saw online that some one made a Casino Royale game for cell phones. I don't remember
off the top of head were I saw it, but I belive it was at the Casino Royale website.

The site had a few screen shot up, the game graphic were close to the Gameboy Color games of the for the late 1990's early 2000's .

Like many of the other game based on Bond films it had more action added to it,along with levels based on the film. The first level if I remember right was the chase with Mollaka thought the construction site.

I don't know if Activision devloped it or if someone else did.

    Anyone else hear about it?

    i think that the best bond games have been the ones with the original storylines. Agent under fire was a sweet game. it was the first game i had on the ps2 and i was well pleased with myself when i finished it. i just think that when they make them to go with the film, they are actually quite different to the film. so when you think that you know what you have to do (because you saw it in the film) you actually don't because they hav changed it slightly. did anyone else think that AUF was a great game-{

They should make one huge game, with all the movies on as separate missions. Play through Dr No, then unlock FRWL after. And so on, all the way to CR.

And a multiplayer - all locations, all characters (including all the different Bonds), and all weapons.

This aint gonna happen though obviously. But if it did, I would buy it straight away, and I rarely play games as it is.

GoldenEye 007 for the N64 is, in my opinion, the best Bond game. In second place is Nightfire... AUF did not get to me, partly because the bullets flew so slowly you could almost literally dodge them while they were in the air.

Has anyone played GoldenEye: Rogue Agent? Not the traditional Bond game... actually Bond is in it for what? 20 seconds? I still thought it was pretty good. Different, but good.

Theres always a debate as to which is better - EON or GoldenEye. Tough call, either deserves the title.

As for Rogue Agent - I lost my attraction to it because of the length of the levels. I got too bored of playing massive levels, and I didnt want to replay them either.

I know this sounds dorky but I just got FRWL for Gamecube. So far I like it. Here are some Bond game Ideas:

DAF I think the car chase in LV would be fun to do
    OHMSS
TSWLM the ski chase has been done in one other game but on a whole the movie has a lot of fun sceens in it.
    DAD
FYEO the car chase in that yellow bug looking thing would be fun
    any ideas
Bond: You don't think I enjoyed what we did this evening, do you? What I did tonight was for King and country! You don't think it gave me any pleasure, do you?
Fiona: But of course, I forgot your ego, Mr. Bond. James Bond, who only has to make love to a woman and she starts to hear heavenly choirs singing.

I think the car chase scene between Bond and Zao in DAD would be a pretty good level in the game (if they make it).
