Juliet Lewis Wants to Be a Bond Girl

This probably doesn't merit its own thread, but it pleases me to no end to read that Juliette Lewis, who I think is sexier than hell, a fine actress and chronically underemployed, appreciates Danny (they do share a common language). I say give her a go. Eon, I mean. Dan, you make your own decisions.
Juliette Lewis' delirious Bond girl ambition

Juliette Lewis wants to be a Bond girl.
The 'Natural Born Killers' actress is convinced she could give former 007 beauties like Ursula Andress and Halle Berry a run for their money with her toned body and feisty attitude.
She said: "Can you imagine me as a Bond girl? Just give me a sword and a bikini and I'm good to go."
Another reason the actress-turned-singer wants to star in a Bond film is so she can meet Daniel Craig, who makes his debut as the suave spy in 'Casino Royale' next month, because she has a crush on him.
She added: "Daniel is a good actor and very easy on the eye so I'd love to say hello and give him a hand shake."
However, before she establishes herself as a Bond girl, Juliette - who performed with her band The Licks at the MTV Europe Music Awards after-show party last night (02.11.06) - wants to bring rock music back into the popular arena.
She said: "I want to bring the c**k back into rock. It's all about the music."

(I also think she's ugly but my biggest complaint is that, apart from her performance in Cape Fear, I can't stand the way she 'acts.')
Well, the new chap playing Bond isn't exactly easy on the eye. I thought Lewis had gone into music anyway.
I think she's sexy in a kind of risky rock chic kind of way- she'd be a good fun baddie Bond girl.

"Screw 'em." - Daniel Craig, The Best James Bond EverTM
I'll withdraw my opinion, since defending it would mean violating my self-imposed moratorium on discussing You Know Who's portrayal of You Know Whom...

I figured I'd be lucky if one person responded to this topic -- imagine my surprise to see more than a dozen rush to post, most of them to cast a cold clinical eye on Lewis' physical attributes, with nary a thought for that intangible "something" that makes the pulse race.
I've got to say that Bond fans as a breed seem to be supremely superficial when it comes to evaluating a person's sex appeal. It's all about the cookie-cutter. You must all be Greek gods or close your eyes when you're shaving.
I don't know, Dan. Hypercriticism could be a sign of terminal narcissism, though not necessarily good taste. )
Not exactly taking the moral high ground there!
Anyhoo- I think she's got a great rock chic sexiness. If James finds himself in a nightclub on the dirtier side of town I think she'd be a perfect partner for him. She'd obviously be great press for the film!

Ha! Well said! That's one of the best posts ever! Looks are subjective people, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Now that's thinking outside the box, emtiem. You're right -- maybe a Tiffany-Case-from-the novel-type Bond girl, the chick from the wrong side of the tracks. They don't all have to be underwear models.
I remember watching her in the "Cape Fear" remake. I was younger then, of course, but still an adult, and I remember feeling a little uncomfortable at her performance as a precocious teenager. I think she's a fine actress.
I had no idea she was in music now.
) ) )
Well, you know what they say about a bird in the hand ...
Jeez, you'd think I was talking about YOUR mother. **** me, ur a bit defensive aren't you, know her personally do you. ****.
I think that about said it all. Stick to music - forget about Bond!

Unfortunately for the hick, redneck tart, it would have to be spliced into Live and Let Die.
"Ever heard of Evil Kneivil?"
"Boy you ain't gonna....."
"Ah SURE am Boy!"
*Cut to scene of fat Sherrif after corkscrew jump offering Bond his daughter. Who is also his sister..."
My image of Juliette was formed by "Cape Fear" in which she played a young, clean-cut if somewhat precocious teenager. I had no idea the poor girl had gotten such a trailer-trash image since then.
Then watch Natural Born Killers, my friend...
I have never seen that. I'm ambivalent about Oliver Stone. Ever since he went to that MTV, quick-cut, different film stock style, I feel like I'm under assault when I watch one of his movies. But I may have to to see where Juliette went bad.
Why does everyone take everything so seriously?
Oh what a bunch of wibble. They were at the MTV awards, James Bond himself was stood there, so she complimented him. That's all there was to it. It's a nice little thing to say; to say in effect 'that man stood over there is gorgeous and I'd love to be his love interest'.
Diddy, bless him, has a bit of an ego I'm sure and is used to a bit of self promotion, and associating yourself with the character who's supposed to be the coolest in movies isn't a bad move. But it's just a bit of fun- he's not lobbying anyone for it. And he's just stood next to Daniel Craig too; so presumably he also thought Craig looks cool and as good as he thinks he looks!
(OT but I'm using my new Firefox, and the new version has a spellchecker! Expect my posts to be a lot better spelt from now on! )
Yep, brilliant Dan, and at the same time they should have a white guy play John Shaft and we'll just forget about Ian Fleming. As for Juliet Lewis, I certainly wouldnt kick her out of bed for farting.
