Ten short clips of CR found online.

Some of them we've already seen, a few we havent. I particular love the clip entitled "The Apartment" it's a crackling scene between Bond and M, anyone who had doubts about Dench in this movie will be blown away. I supported her being in this film and even I was surprised at how much better she is than in the Brosnans.

I saw the Casino clip at the bowling alley tonight, but there was no sound. ESPN had a Poker tournament on and were heavily promoting Casino Royale. I was upset I couldn't hear the sound on the clip, but glad you posted this. Thank you. I definatly can't wait until the 17th now.

Thank you for those clips. I needed to see those scenes to help me with my fix. I agree with you about the scene in the apartment. 9 more days I have to wait for this movie. Right now, before I go to bed, I'm skimming some of the book to refresh my memory. i haven't read the book since I was in middle school. Now I see there's going to be the "old school" and "new school" Aston Martins in this film. I wonder if the newer version will have the same gadgets as it did in Die Another Day. Since Q won't be in the film, I doubt it.

I just saw the clips without sound in the local library. It looks fantastic! Real acting scenes and action scenes that are both real-looking and unbelievable ...

Why do I torture myself watching these clips? They're just making the wait for the opening all that much longer. But they are great clips and it's pretty hard to avoid temptation. I'm going to love this movie.

Fair call high hopes, I too am finding hard to avoid temptation but two weeks annual leave from friday will certainly help, and for those two weeks my mind will be on other/better things. Must admit though being a traditionalist, perhaps even a sexist pig, I am still not happy about Dench being in this movie and listening to her speak to our hero in that manner in the clip does annoy me as it did at times during Brosnans era. Its a mans world god dammit and It should stay that way, especially when they have come up with this reboot idea. Dont get me wrong though I believe it will still be a top movie and believe Craig will deliver a good performance.

I'm watching these clips at a slow, but steady pace---though they take forever to load on my crappy dial-up, they eventually play perfectly :D :D :D

I've seen the scene between Craig and Dench, and the beach scene where Solange rides the horse...

This is Dame Judi's best work as M. It helps me understand (at least to some degree) why they retained her services. The added conflict between Bond, the alpha-male blunt instrument, and M---here an especially strong 'Thatcher'-type---adds energy to their scenes together. This Bond is clearly more of an 'anti-hero,' and will only earn the unfettered respect Brosnan's M had for him after having proven himself over several missions/motion picutures...

The beach scene: instant, unspoken chemistry between Bond and Solange. The Bahamas look lovely here ;)

"The Train" and "Last Minute Details"

Good chemistry here as well...Solange and Vesper are two very different-style Bond girls; nice.

Bond continues to impress; he's more than just a scrappy 'fisticuffs' protagonist, obviously, and fears that he would be too 'brooding' and 'serious' should be at least somewhat mitigated by material such as this.

Judi Dench is a female Bernard Lee here. Seriously, watch that clip and envision him. Dench is completely and utterly M. And Craig is completely and utterly Bond.

For Chrissakes -- Does Craig have to smile in practically every damn scene????
    :)) :)) :))
Sorry, I'm thinking back to a few months ago -- a few weeks ago -- when the line on Craig was that he always looked grim (sucking lemons, I believe was the phrase), couldn't possibly be suave or witty, or flirt, or play Bond's lighter, charming side, etc ...

Well indeed- because if we saw something happen once it meant every scene would be like that. We see Bond not wearing a suit in one scene- that becomes 'he doesn't wear a suit ever'; we saw him drive a Ford Mondeo- 'he won't get a proper sportscar'; we see him looking serious- 'he will never smile or say anything funny ever' etc. Pathetic really.

{[] That sequence cracked me up. And how clever was that for them to reference a typical "Bond girl name" -- only as a wise-crack by Bond? It's a simple way of making something new while tipping your hat to the old, but ya had to think of it, as they say. The writers seem to be firing on all cylinders.
And Craig and Eva definitely have some chemistry.

Took me over an hour to watch all the clips, I share Loeff's pain with dial-up. Of all the clips I'll have to agree that my favorite was "The Apartment." Judi Dench absolutely shines in this scene. Watching the clip before it had fully dowloaded, it paused right after Bond said "I thought M was just a randomly selected letter, I didn't know it stood for.." Just when I thought the secret was going to be revealed, the video resumed with an interruption from M: "Stop right there or I'll have you killed!" Disappointing. :p

Altogether a great sample of the characters, the action, the gambling, and the locations!

    Roll on November 17th! {[]

I've a confession to make, from the start I've been extremely doubtful of DC as Bond, but from everything I've seen lately, all the reviews I've been reading (which with the exception of the Observer, and even that wasn't all that negative) and now these clips I NOW FREELY ADMIT that Daniel Craig will be one of the top 2 Bonds (the other one is a Scottish chap) of them all. This is what I've been waiting for since TD's time - a serious, realistic Bond movie that is true to the cinematic Bond heritage, but keeps faith with Fleming. They've done a superb job, so much so that I'm going to take the day off on the 16th and watching every showing of CR at my local cinema.

From what I´ve seen so far, it looks like he´s going to be up there with the scottish chap for me too. If they had told me that a year ago I would have dismissed it as downright impossible...but here we are.

One thing I'm glad they've done is they've gone into Bond's preference for married women from the Fleming novels. I think this really adds to the womanizing aspect of his character and his ability therein, also adding a "*******ly" factor to it.

    Terrific clips.

I don't mean to speak out of turn, but I'm pretty sure Loeff meant he liked it. In fact, that he liked it a lot. So do I.

Thanks, HH. Exactly so; sorry for any confusion. I am personally very reassured by the portrayal in this scene, and was hoping to assuage the concerns of others ;)
