I have just gotten mine yesterday and I am absolutely delighted. I have the first 10007 edition, but did not purchase the actual 10007 Seamaster Diver as I really don't like the dial.
I think, just the 007 hand is very discrete and classy, plus the Casino Royale 7 bottom is really well done.
I think, that this will become a very sought-after watch, have a look on ebay: You can find plenty Seamaster Diver watches, but not a single Planet Ocean limited.

Ditto what Markus said. They will all be sold out very soon due to the overwhelming response to the film, and should be very highly sought after from then on.
I also like it because apart from the subtle 007 hand, it is the exact model worn in the film, and not just a representation with funky dial as the other Seamasters were. It is also a nod to the Rolex sub as worn by Connery on strap in the 60's. Very classy.
It is sold out from Omega (Swatch Group). Retail outlets still have them, although they are disappearing rapidly.
Ditto that - I've been in Manchester today and, at least, three stores had the watch on display - although the store where I bought mine from has only had the watch in for a week.
My story starts with the fact that I wanted a watch with a black strap - a fairly innocuous start !
As soon as I heard that Omega were planning a LE Planet Ocean for CR, I decided to wait and see how this watch would look. As soon aas I saw pictures of this watch, and heard that it would be limited to 5007 pieces, I knew I had to get one.
I already have the standard Bond Omega Seamaster - I decided against the original 007 LE as I didn't think it was worth the extra money, and the second LE looks cheap. This watch however, looks great - I agree that the 007 touches are subtle and therefore don't detract from a great looking timepiece.
I'm a happy boy
I just talked to a reputable Omega Dealer here in Texas 11/28 - the watch just came in. The number is 833. The price is $3,650 with additional 15% discount plus 8.25% tax = $3,358.
Is this a reasonable price? Thanks
If it is special to you in some fashion and you can afford it, go for it. If you're just buying it as an investment, I wouldn't recommend it or any other high priced collectible for that matter. The first rule of collecting is you buy it because you like it and it means something to you. People who often buy cause they believe they will make a profit on it usually come away disappointed and when the hype dies down usually get stuck with it and end up selling at a loss.

By the way, did anyone get a "Cast and Crew booklet," w/ all of them wearing Omega watches, as part of their purchase?
No, but I was shown a dealers brochure that had about 5/6 pictures in it and a CD-Rom - I'm hopeful of getting that when the promotion finishes in the store though, along with anything else I can get my hands on )

Surely other people apart from us few have bought this. It is afterall SOLD OUT from Omega. Has CR been such a huge hit that the average punter has bought into it?

Hey guys, my mom is friends with a guy who did some publicity for Omega's CR watches, and he got Omega to send me some stuff, like a booklet full of pictures of the watches and also pictures of all the gamblers at the casino. Also got a USB stick that says Omega and Casino Royale on it, which is pretty cool. I'll try to post some pics at some point. I now officially love Omega... more than I did before.

That USB has been getting more than 100 bucks on ebay. Great find {[]
If I could afford one, I don't think i'd wear it. But only for the reason that I hate wearing watches. Therefore I don't think I could justify buying it just to have as a collectable. To sit on the cabinet.
I personally own the model that Brosnan wore in his films, and find it just as wonderful. I spen years arguing the wealth of an Omega with the family, they never believed me until they saw CR with me. THose words hit the heart, "Rolex?... OMEGA. Beautiful." Fabulous.

Did anyone else get the small 50+ page booklet on CR/Omega. These are getting silly prices now on ebay, so maybe all of the AD have got wise and are hanging on to them. The only package that was not well distributed was the PO CR Lts Ed release pack. Even the USB package had a fairly wide distribution, and the prices asked for those are extortionate.
Which leads me to this question-- among those of us who are owners here (and those who plan or aspire to be), will you actually wear this watch?
I decided not to wear the watch. Altough, it is a real nice watch (though a bit too large for my taste), I appreciate the real NOS appeal of my watches in my collection, so, it will remain unworn in my collection like the others.
What I have gotten with my watch:
The inner and outer box
The individually numbered certificate
The grey cleaning cloth
The beige hangtag
The Softcover manual booklet
The leather pouch for the warranty cards
All 3 credit-card-style papers
By the way, I am pleased to inform everyone here, that my webpage is back.

I adore my LE PO but I'd really love the Rolex 16610 - perhaps one day :x
I've had my Submariner quite a while, and it wasn't until the superior details of the Seamaster were made obvious in the article I linked, that I thought a better watch was possible. However, once I tried on a Seamaster, all those little things that make it better than the Submariner (larger display markings, bevelled case edges, well machined catch etc) stood out a mile. If you are a collector of watches, I would definitely recommend getting one, but, if you expect it to be better than the Omega, you will likely be dissapointed, as the Omegas are the superior watch. I never thought I'd ever say that anything could be better than a Rolex Submariner ( ) but the facts speak for themselves
I disagree a bit. Which one is the better watch, the mentioned Seamaster or the Submariner, will be decided 30 years later in watch history. Although the Seamaster has some improvements compared to the Submariner concept, the metal bracelet is definetly not so durable compared to the Rolex Oyster bracelet.
Additionally, as Dell said, the mentioned model has never been a 007 watch.

I'd like to read that, but the link doesn't seem to work. Can you post it again?
