In addition to the torn card scene, did anyone notice anything else missing that was shown in the trailers or any of the clips?
For those who saw the clip that was shown on Letterman, did you notice that cuts were made to the stairwell fight?
When Bond kicks one of the bad guys over the railing, it cut to a high and wide shot where we see him fall all the way down the stairwell shaft and hit the floor as Bond goes at it with the other baddie! This was not in the film - at least the print that I saw! Too bad, because it was a really good shot. Also, there was a scene where the machete-wielding baddie grabs Vesper's ankle as he is falling down the stairs and she screams. It then cuts to 007 looking really angry and tackling him to get him off of her. A nice chivalrous moment for our boy that is straight out of the novels. Hopefully we'll get and uncut version when the DVD comes out.
Someone else mentioned the scene of Bond and Vesper embracing in the water...any others?

Comments
Bond and Vesper driving the Aston through the countryside including Bond catching Vesper looking at him (seen filmed on Fifth Gear with nice helicopter shots etc)
Bond and Vesper's naked swim
Bond falling down the steps of the casino after being drugged (seen in set photos)
The tanker driving through a plane's fuselage (shown on Film 2006)
The exterior of the cricket club in Pakistan and the rest of the fight scene (the pair of fighters losing their guns etc) (shown in photos taken at Eton and fight shots from Bond on Set)
Bond's arrival on a stretcher at the hospital (on set photos)
The shot of Dryden walking across the lobby of his building from the trailer is gone
The close of Bond's face as bullets hit behind him in Venice from the trailer is also gone
Bond and Vesper's conversation after getting off the train at the station, including a good tax joke (shown in photos)
Underwater shots of Valenka swimming (Bond on Set)
Bond throwing Vesper's laptop into the canal at the end (and presumably a part where she takes a photo of him in bed) is gone (Seen in the Sony ad)
Bond taking Bliss' place on the train (this part had an actor billed in the cast so was presumably filmed- perhaps also Bond's arrival by helicopter to the train platform and seeing Vesper boarding in Switzerland)
Mollaka's spit at Bond was mentioned in a test screening but has vanished from the final cut
Bond's fashion buyer quip in M's house (possibly filmed?)
Yep, that's the 2nd disc of the DVD sorted then !
I thought that the torn card scene had something dramatic about it in th trailer and would have like to have seen that in context.
Also the bullets behind pillars behind Bond in Venice looked good too.

I thought that, there is a sort of haunting look in his eyes, vacant bordering on fear and I feel it might have helped to reinforce the gravity of the sequence.
1) At the Country Club, after Bond is mistaken for a valet and crashes the Land Rover---then achieves his objective inside---he exits the club, and asks someone: "Did you find out who did it?"
"Bloody valet," someone replies.
"I find that hard to believe," quips Bond. :007)
2) In Act 3, in Venice, when Bond interrupts the money exchange between Vesper and Gettler---before the shooting starts, Bond asks: "Hello, dear. Who are your friends?"
Too bad they didn't make the cut, but at 2:24, clearly they had to chop something...
"I am not an entrant in the Shakespeare Stakes." - Ian Fleming
"Screw 'em." - Daniel Craig, The Best James Bond EverTM
Bond:- Hey, Vesper, you're so cute, can i take you a picture with my brand new MI6's Sony Ericsson K800i © and its powerfull 2.8 megapixels digital camera integrated?
Vesper:- No James, if you want, use my digital Sony Camera XLS5000 ©, with a 52X zoom, 1.2 GB of memory sticks...
Bond:- Is'nt better the XLS9000 ©?
Vesper:-No, it has a better capacity, but the performance it's the same, besides, if you connect it to my new Sony Vaio Laptop SDF1 © to make it a webcam with the higest resolution in the market.
Bond:- Yes, i've got that Sony Vaio Laptop SDF1 © as well, and with my Sony Ericsson K800i © i can log in to Internet... and put my info in my virtual Sony space info ©...
Both looking at the camera: Thanks Sony!
i hope i don't find those....
I wouldn't hold your breath for the cut scenes on DVD. The producers are notoriously stingy with deleted scenes, probably because they have a habit of recycling cut moments in later Bond films (the most famous example is perhaps "The things I do for England", which didn't make TB so was added to YOLT). Where cut scenes have emerged, they have tended to be ones that are "non-transferrable" - for example, Sammy Davis Jnr's cameo in DAF.
@merseytart
It got cut out of Octopussy too!
"For years he was tied to a man we knew as Le Chiffre, private banker to the worlds terrorists. After Desert Storm, Saddam took a disliking to him and cut off his head"
The italicised line is cut, and I can only assume they filmed Bond's reply of "So you're thinking this Le Chiffre isn't as dead as he should be?"
Part of the tanker chase also involved the tanker smashing through the underbelly of a 727, as seen on Film 2006.
